Got my tickets on Saturday. My third Chems gig this year!! CAN MY EARS TAKE THE POUNDING??!!!!!
A few things. Chems gigs in Glasgow are AMAZING. The Glasgow audience is prehaps second to none. Groove Armada once said the Glasgow crowd was the most up for it in the UK. Its always a mental atmosphere. I know i'm Scottish and obviously I'm biased but The Chem Bros+Glasgow = the best gig you'll ever go to!
It'll be interesting seeing them in the NECC. The Barrowlands has the best atmosphere the Acadamy has the best sound but the NECC, like all exhibition centre's, is bit of a cattle shed. It's big though if they arn't partitioning it off so maybe they're going for the bigger audience this time around. It'll rock your bloc off now matter where though.
I do sincerely hope these Xmas dates are to premote a live album/DVD. That would be this years dream come true for me.
ps Yipyap25, I'll see you in there, I owe you a pint or 2 mate so see me at the bar.

This will be the second chems gig in glasgow this year, i saw them on the 12 march then it was my 30th birthday on the 13th, i have to say that the crowd was going crazy and loving it. i cant wait for this one as its my mate 27th birthday that friday night. seems made doesn't.
there are going to be 10 of us travelling up from Newcastle and stopping over for 2 nights so we can experience the glasgow clubbing experience, if you have any good ideas were to go let me know.
as for the pint I cant wait, i drank water the last time as it was very hot.
do you know what time the gigs goes on till, i was reading the brixton thread and he says that they are on till 2pm????

I may be wrong but I think what usually happens is the Chems come off and a DJ continues on until the early hours. Thats what happened after Groove Armada in the Carling Acadamy last year. I'm not sure that'll happen at the SECC though, I think they'll clear it after the Chems finish, the SECC isn't in the town centre (though its closer than the Acadamy). It'll finish back of eleven I would guess.
As for clubbing afterwards, you probably want to get yourself and your mates over to the Arches. If the whole place is open then its probably the best club in Scotland but it depends whats on. I'll get back to you on that one, there are other good clubs too like Optimo. We'll see nearer the time.
Jeanie and Foxboy and everybody else, get yourselves tickets and get up here, it'll be better than Brixton.

Belfast on December 3rd may be cheaper for you, Foxboy.
SECC is a good venue but slightly in the middle of nowhere. Glasgow crowds are always great ( Beastie Boys gig was fantastic ) but it's hard to beat a small venue in Belfast.
Especially as the boys have never played in the Six before. Not live anyway and I think you may have been too young to remember Sugarsweet ( not being patronising, I am just jealous that I am not as young as I used to me )
