Check out the Korg ES-1, it's probably right up your street.

If you're loaded, you could consider an Akai MPC, or a Yamaha RS7000

if you want a sampler/drum machine I'd go for an mpc - you can pick one up second hand pretty cheap....



if you've got a pc then the mpc1000 is perfect - whap your samples over from pc to the mpc with a usb connection and then you're off - drum prgamming is a doddle on it and the swing is lovely...



I had to sell mine to pay my rent which is about as un-house as it gets



but it taught me a lesson folks....

seconded on the mpc - wicked drum machine/sampler combo, but you'll need a mixer to get the most out of her

well i have my 2 dex, my mixer, getting a new pc solely to run reason, or whatever i decide on, getting as midi keyboard and an mpc hopefuly
