Not sure how many people played the first one but I really liked it and now theres a squeal... Featuring none other than The Chemical Brothers (Im assuming its just tracks but it would be pretty awesome if they were playable characters like Daft Punk were). Anyway it's also featuring Deadmau5, Dr Dre, Kane West, Metalica, Lady Gaga, Rhianna and apparently over 85 other artists! Sounds very impressive. Here's the trailer as well :grin:

This one looks good. I'll buy just because Deadmau5 is a playable character :mrgreen: But it seems like this one will be more electronica-based as well.

Yeah, I'm in. I enjoyed the first one. I'm glad this one will be graced with Chemicals.

The first "mix" was underwhelming for me (and I really like the Mau5), but I'm looking forward to this game. Didn't even notice the Chems would have music (possibly even in-game avatars?) in it! They got a little shout-out in the first game for helping Daft Punk become famous.
This is great news!
(But I'm still holding out for some Basement Jaxx to make this perfect...)

If you have the first one you can download a free Gaga/Deadmau5 remix on xbl. Although it was more Gaga than Deadmau5 and disappointed in that. The daft punk Mixes were the best in the original so can't wait for the Chems. I hope they do a best of like the Daft Punk Mega mix for the chems.

Unlikely looks like Deadmau5 is the star in this one like Daft Punk was for the first one.

I would love this one to feature more on the underground electronic side if there is any focus at all. A Chems/Gaga mix doean't sound too appealing to me. It's hard to be picky about songs built for a game, but some of the hip hop tracks on the first one were pretty good. As a matter of fact, most of the hip hop based tracks were pretty creative and well thought out. Daft Punk's stuff was pretty good, but overall
it was the electonic tracks that sounded like basic mashups. Hopefully someone involved with the game will make the electronic tracks more interesting.

On the brightside, the game will likely feature Block Rockin' Beats, so I'm sure whatever producer gets to tear it up will give it love. Just my guess...

Wouldn't that be a fail ?
I mean, Galvanize is 6/4 whereas Leave Home is 4/4 so that wouldn't fit very perfectly...
Or maybe they'll take only the verses from Galvanize.

I'm not a fan of the Guitar Hero or the spin off game but Dj Hero had some good mixes.
I'm looking forward to hearing the chem brothers mix :D

They could have chosen a better MSTRKRFT song than Bounce :/

Hey guys! Sorry for reviving a dead thread but I've got some news!
The Leave Home/Galvanize mashup is surprisingly the only Chems material in the game, but they put up a brief clip of it and it sounds pretty good:


And on another note, I got my wish for Basement Jaxx:

Oh, it was just mislabeled. Although Omen is in the game, along with Firestarter.
