Did anyone actually get around to hearing the song? I myself did, and I was surprised by what I heard. Although, I'm sure I'll grow into liking it more after hearing it again, upon a first listen the song sounded like a mediocre Basement Jaxx track. (Back me up if you've heard it and you agree on the BJ thing)
Still immensely excited about the album, though.

No one's made any comments about it being similar to the Jaxx yet, although I see where you're coming from. If you didn't notice it, there's a 40-page thread about Do It Again a little further down the forum. A lot of crap to wade through, but there's been a lot of reaction (positive and negative) already.
Cheers!

Quite the contrary, actually. If you look back through the Do It Again thread, you'll notice that in at least 2 of my posts I mention that my first impression (especially at the mini-break about the 'robotic brain') was that it sounded like something from Crazy Itch Radio, which scared the poo out of me at first.
This is back grom page 21 of the DIA thread where I first mention the idea:

Timeline:
0:00 - starting cool
2:20 - I'm scared as fnck that this is going to go 'Crazy Itch' on my ass, but then it goes back into the song *whew!*
3:00 - Cool messy breakdown that sounds... sorta middle-eastern/synthy
3:45 - My favourite part begins. Really fun vocals here, very trippy, makes me happy. There is also a neat 'real' sounding drum as apposed to a simple bass.
4:00 - back to the song and then that *heart attack* 'crazy itch' synth line starts with Pete Tong, with a little guitar. :?
Well, its very catchy and it does kinda remind me of sexyback. I like the parts in the 3 minute area alot. I'm hoping for perhaps some less synthy, more samply stuff in the other songs but this is a pretty good first single.
:) It makes me happy, and thats my review.

I stand corrected. I remember that post, I just didn't think of the Jaxx. I've never heard 'Crazy Itch'.
