I'll try write a small piece on the gig over the weekend - seems like i'm the only one who thinks the show wasn't 100percent - everybody else who saw waters for the first time seem to be as blown as i was in 02 - as it's slowly sinkin in, i realise last night was unbelievable. i was standing 5 ft away from my god the whole second half and he played dark side back to back - had a huge pig he flew around the crowd and then let it free with all the crazy graffitti on it including impeach bush now.
i just hope that pig didn't cause any air traffic problems in bby last night - like the first one they ever flew did. this one went flyin very far away and very high. and it was HUGE. darky - u GOTTA catch this tour. he plays one and a half hrs from all other albums - wall, final cut, animals, wish u were here, does a break, and plays dark side start to finish, and does a wonderful encore with vera, bring the boys back home and ends u comfortably numb. the FUCKIN quadraphonic sound!!!!! U gotta hear it to believe it.

Finally back to some senses - tho still no idea if I can ever write a review I'm such a fanboy!
Here's a link to some reviews - some pics links also there.

All I can say for me - it was a religious experience as usual - was standing 5 ft away from Waters at times, and I couldn't believe the effect he has on me with his aura.

Here are some pics - http://www.girishmen...oger-waters.php
The thumbnails show only Waters - click to see the whole pics.
Will post more later - but the problem is most of the crazy stuff (the HUGE flying pig with all the graffitti/ the literally BLOWING pyros - there were huge bombs and fireworks going on ONSTAGE), n the insane visuals that constantly are part of the opera, all the film footage) can't be captured on camera (leaving some shitty pics with mobile ph cameras - but those suck totally) since Waters allows the presspit for just the first 2-3 songs and the press is thrown out of the pit, their cameras confiscated for the gig duration, and he even jams mobile phones after the first half an hr.

Roger Waters is playing Summerfest (http://www.summerfest.com/ ) in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
With a $10 admission fee, im pretty much sold.
Of course, I could just go to the Chicago show and pay $50+.....
How long was the performance Jack?

there's a setlist somewhere - i'll try post it later - i was too dazed, but basically he played an hour of songs from almost all albums, starting with in the flesh 2, n some final cut, some animals (the pig on sheep was a highlight for a lot of people), lots of wish u were here, then a small break, n then the whole fuckin dark side of the moon live back to back. it's a fuckin intense experience mate - u should go for the bigger show - doesn't matter bout the cost of the ticket or the size of the venue, but make the sure the show u choose has his sound completely and big money - the production and the visuals are a crazy part to the experience.
oh yeah he did a short encore because of the 10pm deadline in this city comin back with the expected brick in the wall 2 (u should have seen the crowd go nuts - nobody budged till he came back for the encore - noone of the 30k people in that place. he followed that with vera, bring the boys back home n the fuckin the comfortably the numb.
in all bout 2.45 hrs here this time, the last time it was 3.
here are some more pics of the man himself at this blore gig - like i said he was intensely upset n in his elements this night.

Its not that the cheaper show is smaller or shorter, the festival is just a great and cheap (money wise not, value wise) weekend festival that they put on every year. Just so happens they signed Roger Waters this year, and for $10 I can go see him. You just cant beat that! As for the show in Chicago, my dad might be able to get me tickets for free! So I might see him twice! :D

Bosco - I hope you have a blast at both the gigs! My pt. was that the organisers should be paying him enough to carry his entire show - his sound is entirely his (the millionth time - quadrophonic), the lights are crazy - say hi to sparky if u see him ;) , the pyros are insane, the 4 projectors constantly running the insanest visuals u would have seen in a while, the giant pig he's using on this particular dark side tour, the explosions ONstage, the stageprops - basically it's a HUGE audio visual production, and the whole thing is key to the experience - that's why I asked u to choose the bigger show if you have to choose. But you lucky bitch could be watching him both places! :p
Hope you enjoy! If you're a Floyd fan, you WILL, BIG.
