I still can't decide if I will read reviews of the show or watch videos before I go to the Roundhouse on sunday.
On one hand I can't wait to hear new stuff and see what the shows are gonna be like, but on the other hand, if I discover all of that during the show, I think I would be even more overwhelmed. But yet again... fuck I can't wait !

Obi Wan Kenobi, your our only hope.
If I had to wait till Oakland to hear the new stuff more.....I'd say screw that. I haven't decided if i'll watch this weeks performances or wait till the release on the....2nd?9th?14th? what day is it now?

When all else fails. Obi Wan Kenobi.
People on their smartphones can't see polls so they won't know what in the heck we're talking about but that's OK.
I don't know, Ben_j - it's really up to you but it might be kind of fun to hold off on settling for cut rate video footage until you get to experience the real deal in all it's glory on Sunday.
It is hard to resist and I can understand the temptation. I might take a peak here and there at live footage youtube clips (the short ones, no way am I subjecting myself to the 5+ minutes clips of shaky footage and warbled sound). Unless of course, there's footage of spaceships landing and lasers shooting out of Tom and Ed's eyes at one of their gigs - that I'd have to see. But until I get to the gig in August, I know for sure I'm going to hold off from listening to bootleg sets (that you know will eventually surface).
Of course I will read reviews. I love that kind of stuff!

I say no videos, just read reviews. They'll let you know how the "vibe" of the show was and you can gloss over the parts you want to experience for yourself. Besides, if the world is truly kind the setlists for every night will be different, meaning that the shows themselves won't really spoil each other.

I had a nightmare the other night that i forget my tickets and literally woke up crying- I need to get a life - for what it's worth; looking at clips/reading of gigs before makes about as much sense as our boys mixing a Hed Kandi cd to me. Hope everyone going over the next few days has a mega time X

Hahaha, I've been dreaming a few times that someting went wrong (missing the eurostar, forgetting tickets, etc...).
I think I'll just look at a few reviews, but not spoil myself too much (no pun intended).

Good advice! I'll try and do the same over here.
Notice that I used the word 'try'!

Oh dear, the anxiety dreams. Those are so horrible. I've had so many dreams where I've lost my tickets, got lost on my way to the show, got held up waiting at the toilets, lost my way coming back from the toilets, etc etc. Maybe I just have overactive bladder when the Chems are coming to town. The worst though, is waking up right when the gig is about to start!
OMG you guys, less than 24 hours to the first Roundhouse show!!
