EBW8 / EBW9

To me, having heard both 8 & 9... the songs are a bit like night and day. 8 is more of a euphoric track that has a lighter feel than it's brother 9 which is a dark acidy and tribal stomper. I'm not hearing much Bloc Party at all, or maybe I must have missed some similarities? They both sound quite Chemical to me.

I missed the release of 8 and just caught the release of 9 but just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on them. I think the chems are moving towards a Bloc Party kinda sound, a lot lighter (not very heavy on the bass and drums). So anybody???
Hey Dave!
They both suck!!

anyhoo we seem to be getting a bit less spam, we are looking into big changes into our website soon
album going well...in miloco today with someone great
Thanks again for dropping by, Ed. I think it's fair to say that both new EBWs are pretty sweet. I can't wait to have the opportunity to hear them on a proper club sound system.
And again, thanks for being on the ball and concerned about the state of the forum. We all (even Slipvin, the douche) appreciate it.

Wel Ed, I'm not your general public, and I think you guys can do a lot better than EBW 8 and 9.
You guys should do some wild shizz like Loops of Fury again!

you're really being a ?pink flower?-sandwich... if you want something that sounds like loops of fury listen to crystal method, their career is essentially ripping off that sound
A pink flower sandwich, wtf dude??? :?
And nobody does it better than the chems themselves.
Although you guys should consider doing a similar tune like Weapons of Mass Distortion, that tune rocked!
Just remember: minimal = cunt music.

I can take you anytime, dopey.
Nuthin' wrong with a bit of critisism. There has to be put an end to all this asskissing. There are too many folks around here like you who don't even dare to speak their mind about chems stuff (frightened as they are to insult the mighty chems), but just give a general response like: oooooh Ed & Tom, your so wonderful ooooh I luuuuuuv EBW 8 & 9 ooooh everything you guys do is sooooooo fabulous!!!! Come on, they are musicians ffs, they can handle a little bit of critisism!! I don't like EBW 8 and 9. They are average records. Here, I said it. Not so hard. You should try it once in a while dopey. Might even get you off the dope.

also, people aren't afraid to express negative criticism. a lot of people didn't like come with us when it came out, golden path too, it's not fundamentalism here. just simply saying something sucks is really an unsupported opinion, but expecting them to write songs back to the dyoh era, almost as bad as an unsupported opinion.

And yet another thread revolves around Slipvin's negativity... Slipvin, it is OK to speak your mind and all, it def. spices up the forum a bit but sometimes a little more tact wouldn't hurt. You can do better than "it sucks". Seeing as how you make music, if you had your own forum and someone came on and started putting down your tunes you'd have every right to counter those criticisms and it would be bonus if people came rushing to your defense.
If we like something and make that known - if that makes us the ass kissers in your mind then I don't know what to tell ya...
