@ Soundertow Interesting that you should say that the instruments sounded a bit too sharp as the chems said in an interview that they concentrated hard on the high end of the frequency spectrum when makeing CWU as in previous albums they mainly concerned themselves withe the bass end so i think the higher frequencies register a lot more on CWU than they do on the other albums making it sound sharper/harsher :)

Yes, I guess that's the thing. And also the production is so clean that separate sounds really plunge into your ear. :)

Is there anything else about this in that interview? Maybe a link if it's published on the net?

whirlygirl Escribi:

soundertow, when you say you think the "instruments" sound too sharp on Come With Us, do you mean for example, Hoops? I ask, because I originally thought the acoustic guitar sounded a bit too dry, real out of place at first.

It's not so clear in Hoops but for an example Galaxy Bounce and My Elastic Eye are very sharp ones. Good songs, but I wouldn't actually want to listen to them that loud because very sharp sounds are a bit irritating in the long run.

And haha with the abbreviations, it's a sad way of getting some inside humour here. "So I was listening to IBIA, and TLBDB, and GG and E and it was like ROTFLMAOLOL IMHO." X-D

I cant remember where i read it was probably a magazine i'll check and see if i can find it but i dont recall them saying anything else just that they wanted to concentrate more on the highend of the freq for a change.

I have always loved it when the Chems mix between tracks on their albums/singles :D . We can definitely expect something new, but perhaps capturing the original Chemical sprit.

I prefer the tracks unmixed, I only have CD decks, so if I wanna use a chems song it's gotta be unmixed, or it sounds crap. Well, my mixes sound crap anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

I bet the brothers are pissing themselves reading us guessing what the next album is gonna be like. There's only a handful of people who actually know, we could be way off and we won't know till release day. I reckon they shouldn't release promos of the album, last time the album was all over the internet 6 months before release coz of dodgy journalists and their promos. I reckon they should just release a single before the album, and promote heavily on that.
