been playing a lot of the chems mixes intermittently these days, since got a nice bagful i was wanting for a long time.
played the 04 glastonbury set earlier. tho i have just half of it.
np : confront u'r demons. i played it the first time over the weekend while on acid, n this really is aptly called what it is. the golden path really blew me to pieces.

Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Radiohead - Subterrenean Homesick Alien
Radiohead - Let Down
Radiohead - Karma Police
Radiohead - Lucky
Listened to OK Computer today while driving to/from work and these tunes in particular just struck me a certain way. Absolutely brilliant album that deserves nearly every superlative thrown its way over the past 9 or so years. Sheer genius. The melancholy and sense of loss in today's impersonal culture is beautifully captured.
Oasis - I Hope, I Think, I Know
Not one of there best songs, but a decent one. I really feel Be Here Now is underrated as an album, not least by the band themselves who declined to place a single song from it on their recent best-of. Maybe they don't wish to recall that coked-out era, but they still wrote some smashing tunes around then.
Matthew Good Band - My Out of Style is Coming Back
Underdogs is a great album that should definetly be remembered.

You don't say. ;)
Just listened to EBW8 about a million times, recorded it and going to put in on the ftp unless somebody has beaten me to it or has any objection.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I don't see 9 on the ftp. Is it a new directory? Doesn't show in the EBWs directory.
Also please put 8 first!!
I've gone ahead and ordered two more copies from plastic music - lesse if i get any of them.

I dont care who its mixed by , its a fucking great cd. But i take it those rumours are treu than ?!
Why don't you care? surely whoever mixes it should get your admiration? If you're refering to the Psycos mixing Cream Live Two then yeah, it's true. Although, you can't take it all away from James. His choices of tracks were amazing! such a perfect CD *salutes*

59 Times the Pain - Weakend Revolution
Solid punk track from yesteryear. "Fucked up people, that's nothing new. Rise above, that's what we've got to do!"
Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - Shake That
The official Giants Ridge NYE Vacation Track. This got played out as the last song before we got to the hill each day, first track when we left, and often before hitting up any bars. Although filthy and politically incorrect, this turns > 90% of all females into writhing, pulsating, horny dancefloor monsters in a club. Love it. "2 to the 1 from the 1 to the 3, I like good pussy and I like good trees / Smoke so much weed you wouldn't believe and I get more ass than a toilet seat" Fantastic couplet. Blam!
808 State - Pacific State
What do I possibly need to say about this track? Nothing. Exactly.

Chemical Brothers - Electronic Battle Weapon 8
Chemical Brothers - Electronic Battle Weapon 9
Got the turntable running and though it's from the 70s and so are the speakers (with probably like 5 watts running to them and they still distort some), but these are proper tunes. Can get a smidgen of the feeling it must be like to dance like a madman to them on a 24,000 watt system.
Pretty cool. My first EBW vinyls. Sweet.
I've got a lot more appreciation for 9 now that I'm not listening to a radio rip on the comp.
