So I'm in for Movmember again. Expecting mine to come out Blonde like Lanny McDonald again. I'll throw up the support details soon (aka the monies)
My girlfriend broke up with me about 2 weeks ago. Amazed it lasted for as long as it did (1 year and a month) considering we lived on 2 different sides of the continent (Alberta and Florida/Georgia). It was a good relationship but like most long distance ones the comitment just wasn't there after a point. Though, After hearing about inchems roomate my recent sorrow doesn't seem as bad. Sorry mate.
Realizing more and more that I will finally be graduating from my undergrad in 6 months (god willing). Thinking intensly about moving back to London at that point. Trying to figure how to get that in order (Visas, job, money, flat). Ideas?
Started bartending at the music facility I've been working for here in Edmonton over the last 2 years. Still confusing at times but it is a nice income while in school.
Have been listening to alot of old Ron Hardy mixes from Paradise garage days in the 80s. A lot of excellent proto-house in there.
Back to the grind.

Just kidding, but I had a date today! It sucked! The date was pretty much over after 3 hours into it! She has the IQ of a Beanie Baby! Anyway...
There will be a game 7!! How in the hell does a team comeback twice!

Anyway. A few disappointments: Only got to see about a half hour of Fatboy's set. Maybe twenty minutes. But it rocked. He's got quite an impressive visual accompaniment right now, and I danced my ass off. F*cking amazing energy for being 52 years old.
Soulwax hasn't yet polished their new material and a new set, and while it was awesome to dance to it, I was way more impressed with 2ManyDJs. Seems like the Dewaele Brothers have been putting most of their effort into the latter these days. Also, I only got to see about 20 minutes of 2ManyDJs set because they ended up going on at 12:30 last night and the group I was with had to leave, and I was their ride. It was a little late for a Monday night show.
The highlights: Deadmau5 was absolutely as expected, which is to say that the visuals were awesome and he played a great set. People seem to adore him and his music is great for what it is, imbued with his nerdy, dorky, playful self. It was a fantastic rave at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco, and I ended up having a phenomenal night.
Goose was awesome. Loved seeing them, and even though some of their album moments didn't translate wonderfully live, their awesome live moments made up for that. The vocalist isn't amazing and he doesn't have a fantastic stage presence, but he's not bad, either, and the band plays really well together. Danced away to Words and it was, in the end, impressive.
Had an out-of-body experience on the dancefloor on Saturday night... It wasn't frightening or anything, and in fact it ended up being rather transcendent. When I "came back" I started working on structuring a legal memo for a presentation I have to give next week... Interesting how hard I was multitasking on my iPhone while dancing the night away. Life never ceases to be fascinating.
And I even managed to DJ a pretty damn good set on Friday night for a party that was thrown at my house. Why is it, though, that trying to get awkward, white law-students to dance is the opposite of shooting fish in a barrel?

it's neither the chems not called PITA. that was on some trippy compilation amongst some tracks including a remix by the chems years ago. I have it somewhere but could not say who this is and what the song is called. I like it however.
