YOU do not contact the Brothers. If the Brothers feel you're worthy, THEY will contact YOU.

i think technically u need permission, but if its for non-commercial use and is only gonna be used for college chances are neither them or their record company representatives are gonna see it, so i wouldnt sweat.

but they got your IP address now buster, your screwed ;) X-D

if ain't going to be distributed and is just for your college i don't think permission would really be needed. not sure though.

Hmm. I think rob vam would know the details of what his teachers expect of his assignment.

Maybe it's part of rob vam's project to obtain the proper liscensing to use the music?

Anyway, best of luck man. I wish I could give some sound advice!

I would maybe try to contact the record companies since they own the songs (sorry about the joke answer I didn't read it was for school, thought it was one of those "dude I want the chems to perform at my prom" questions)

If it?s for non-commercial use you can do what ever you want.

I have been dealing with some similar stuff at uni over the last few weeks, we have been talking about how much you have to change something before it loses its copywrite.

I tend to mostly use my own stuff so i dont have to deal with it.

With audio and video I think there is some kind of 2 second clause, where if it is under 2 seconds it dose not matter at all, not sure exactly about that though.

Thanks a mil everyone for your help. I might be using a song by a guy called chymera now. But I haven't given up on 'Close your eyes' just yet. Chymera is an irish electro producer with unbelivevable stuff. The footage suits that music a little better i think.Check him out on Chymera.org and listen to the track 'everybody dies... even horses'. Amazing and chilleded out with unbelieveable beats.
