In other news, I'm liking other tracks better with each listen. Still a very well produced album, despite it failing as a whole on many levels.

It's not what I expected which is what I expected
I loved opening up the sleeve notes and seeing all of the orchestra listed - they've really taken their time and put their heart and soul into this. It's more human than anything they've written before, so maybe they should have removed the masks. It's clearly not a Daft Punk record, and I like that the tracks featuring well known artists have their own signature as the foundation of the songs.
What a great intro Give Life Back to Music has, lovely opener!
Giorgio by Moroder is just excellent! Though I'd like an instrumental too.
A highlight of the album, though I do wonder what Instant Crush would sound like with The Strokes guy's vocals without a vocoder.
Touch is nice, quite raw at points and a big festival at others.
Get Lucky still makes me smile and sad at the same time as it reminds me of a girl.
Clearly Panda Bear in Doin' it Right.
Contact has that Falcon intro, and the live drums are unexpected but they work really well. I just wish it went on for longer. EPIC

4.40am, sleepless and heating contact on headphones. Those drums. I think daft punk were hearing Saturate when they wrote this and Giorgio. Rave music.

Yeah, my friends and I were big stoners in high school and synched it up.
The truth is that when you put music to visuals, something is always going to happen. The Pink Floyd + Oz had a lot of coincidences in it, though. Granted, while getting stoned is not required, it is suggested.

Two collaborators on RAM were there too. Todd Edwards was dj-ing (I missed him, but as he has collaborated on the worst track on RAM, I wasn't going to go out of my way...) and Panda Bear of Animal Collective. I saw about the last 20 minutes of their set.
Best acts at Field Day for me were Django Django and Palma Violets.
Best piece of serendipity was finding Charanjit Singh, a veteran Bollywood soundtrack composer (I've Googled him since Saturday) playing live acid house with an Indian vibe on Roland synths. Heads started bobbing and didn't stop...
