what was your first chemical brothers experience?
mine was in 2001 creamfields in ireland. i was seventeen, i lost all my mates, took a little white thing for the first time.
went into the tent darren emerson was just finishing his set i think, then they came on. for the next two hours i had never exsperienced anything like it. It was the first time i seen them and the best time. It began in africa beats playing almost the whole set. everything was great, the crowd the visuals and of course the music. i managed to get to the front and stay their all night i loved it.
since then iv seen them in Brixton academy and wittness 2002. going to Oxygen cant wait.

My first CB experince was in '95 when I bought the game Wipeout for the Playstation. As you may know, there are a couple of CB tracks on it. I thought it was really cool and my dad bought EPD....Big-time fan ever since... :D
My first live experince was in '97 when they played at the Lollipop festival in Sweden. As always, they made the whole tent shake! After the gig when I sat on the bus back to the parking-lot in the middle of the night, I remember thinking that it was the most amazing night I had experienced so far(I was 12 back then).
Seen them twice after that, both was just stunning!
Uhm, yeah...there you go!

My first experience was 1999 at Coachella in California - rather than clutter the forum with another insanely long post (and I know you all don't want me to do *that* hehe ;) ) you can access the full details on the "Live" portion of this site, under "memory storage."

first proper introduction apart from hearing the singles on the radio or whatever was DYOH playing very loudly in my mate daves bedroom, with chebbers pointing out the genius of the title track. screaming harmoincs and a ranting breakbeat. luverly. swiflty followed by a jack n jill session on top of a disused railway bridge with a small stereo and DYOH blasting out. ace.
bearing in miond i was a fairly big rock/punk fan at the time, this shit sounded revoloutionary. still does tbh. ;) :)

Good god I'm a moron. Why did I think this thread was about 1st live experience?
Must've been some sort of mental slip (what's new?) - I'm still stuck in I-mised-Coachella-this-year-but-I-hope-the-Chems-are-there-next-year mode...
Let me find that old thread...

There's a few threads where this has popped up, but way back when, chemicalreaction started a thread called "my first time." There's also a more recent thread called "'where' were you when you first got into the chems?"
