I'm with Stash on this - I've tried to like Bjork - I even heard 2 songs back to back once, but I can't get to. I don't like depressive painful singers who think they'r the einsteins of music too.

U wanna be einstein, forget it this lifetime, the Chems already done everything there.

And yeah - the review sucked - the album deserves much more than 3 lines by some stiff lipped biyatch trying to sound merciful to them, while I'm sure he wacked off a hundred times to the promo before he came up with that pathetic three liner review. Subordinate? Yeah subordinate? FUCK YOU ASSOLE - they choose their lucky subordinates, if that's the term u wanna use. Most folks they choose to collaborate with have ended up admitting somewhere or the other that their track with the chems is the best fucking work of their lives. And some of them have had pretty pathetic ones. Like that git stash mentioned. When a Bernard Sumner shows respect to the Chems music and gets all emotional about it, the Observer jerkwad can spare some more text, me thinks.

Well, it's apositive review, which is a good start.

The only thing by Bjork that I can stand are the Fluke remixes, which are shit hot.

I don't think I've heard the Fluke remixes.. but I always Fluke.

I'm glad there's a positive review though. The album is definitely different than their previous (as always). I'm just glad they keep trying new things, while still giving us fans some of the ole 4 x 4 here and there just to let us know they're still paying attention to their roots. :)

Err, nevermind my rant in the morning, was too sleepy, I mixed up the subordinates part, thx to Stash's post. :p

I hope someone from forum can do justice and write a full fledged review - it's painful to read a 3 liner about the greatest album in electronic music in a long time.

Violently Happy, Big Time Sensuality and Hyperballad.

I rock.

The Hyperballad Fluke Mix is cool, very much in style of their Oto album. Slow and deep.

bjork is awesome........no question.

wasn't "Lost In The K Hole" a byproduct of a Bjork track the Chems started to remix but were never able to gain permission for??

Yeah, it was just a tiny little blurb and it is the start of more reviews and news to come. I did not find it negative at all. If anything, I found the use of the word "subordinate" to be an interesting word choice. If you think of it, we are all their subordinates nooowwww...

I LOVE Bjork. I was listening to Big Time Sensuality just an hour ago. Her voice is amazing!

Right! She's got so much power in her voice. I like it when artists have their own fingerprint and not that trash thingy "i sound like..."

Have you already been listeing to "All Is Full Of Love" ? It's a must, defo!

'Pluto' by Bjork was on shuffle right when I clicked on this thread. I like Bjork, but only in small doses. Her voice and dissonant music hurt my brain beyond the 20-minute mark.

Glad to see WATN is getting good reviews. Haven't listened to it yet. Might do so this afternoon.

I totally agree Darkstar. I can only handle Bjork in small doses and anything after about a half hour her voice starts to grate on my brain. This doesn't mean I don't think she's innovative and always willing to push the envelope, I sort of feel the same way about Aphex Twin. Brilliant, timeless even in some ways - but for me there's no long term playability.

The only Bjork album I like is Homogenic.

So back to topic.....YAH!!!!! positive reviews for the album....

back off topic.....Bjork, Kooky, Odd, Icelandic but still better then most of the stuff out there. Still my favorite thing to come outta Iceland....but Gusgus is very close behind. I still have David stuck in my head
