I'm sorry to say that TSD is about my least fave chems track ever - I didn't even really find it funny on a first listen and thought the backing track was weak anyway... guess the target audience is the kids who find the concept of a dancing salmon amusing...

It's a weak track, but the video could be hilarious.

A bit like Orbital's 'Waving Not Drowning' video perhaps? Or cartoon style like Coldcut's 'This Island Earth'. Would be great if the guy who created Ren & Stimpy would make the video! The things he has done for Tenacious D and Bjork are great. Could lift the track right up, worked for AFX's 'Windowlicker' alright.

Hmmm. I can't say I'm thrilled about this being the next single. I like the track, I dig it actually. But I feel there are other tracks on We Are The Night that will make better singles. But that's just me...

We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

best song on the album -- not because it's joking or playful, but because the production values blow me away.

All Rights Reversed should've been the next single IMHO, a really powerful track. And also Battle Scars, a great tune as well. But... The Salmon Dance... seems like a joke. Last time their b-sides used to be much more impressive than current a-sides (Not Another Drugstore anyone?)

I think Battle Scars would do better justice to the next single because it sounds serious and chemical.

What I especially like about Salmon Dance is the synth melody which sounds so bitter-sweet that it would suit for a sad movie sequence imo, and the beat rocks of course! Chemical-Ironic-Sesam-Street-For-Tom's-Kids-Style. Lovin' that track. But it's a too easy to being released track imo. I can imagine all the nerds outhere will talk about it "oooh, i like it" and don't know their serious work at all...
