I remember just after 11/9/2001 when these tactless assholes were selling t shirts on the streets of New York that "Evil must be punished".

It seems that after every tragedy, ther's always some "people" making money (or trying to make money) out of it.

-> ^Btw Chemicalreaction, this was just something I heard on the news shortly after the event, I wasn't trying to say that its only Americans who do this sort of thing.

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 C.

The Russians used a pencil.

That's why I'm proud to be one :D

Just out of curiosity (not that you haven't been asked this 50 zillion times already in your life) but what part of Russia are you from?

'Cos of the drug laws?
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Well, it's a long story actually ...

I was born in USSR (that's the union of Russia and other countries), but I wasn't born in Russia exactly. I was born in USSR. But since 1991, USSR is no more. Both my parents are russians and so am I.

The reason why I asked is because I was just curious - it's not every day I see a Russian dude on a messageboard. 8) My grandfather came from Muldova to the U.S. waaaaay back in 1911. Can't quite remember the name of the village he is from but I think it was pretty far from the major cities. He always wanted to go back but during the time Russia was the U.S.S.R., travelling in remote areas wasn't really encouraged especially for Americans. Anyway - a few years after communism fell my dad arranged to take a trip with my grandfather to Muldova. This was about 5 1/2 years ago - a fascinating trip down memory lane for my gramps, the republic was celebrating the anniversary of driving the nazis out of Russia and his hometown was a lot the same how my grandfather remembered it. Anyway - I don't know why I'm telling you good people any of this so I apologize for hijacking this thread.
