So everyone... been a bit slow around here. That's to be expected and hopefully the lulls don't mean we've forsaken the Brothers. It's always a bit of a drag when there's nothing Chemically new and exciting and fresh going on.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not here 24/7 even at the height of my post-driven frenzy, and especially not nowadays since I had to cut down on my time here and elsewhere - which would explain the lack of usual whirly posts filled with my ranting windbaggery. It's been a bit of a stressful past couple of months, ups and downs and all of that and trying to keep things even keeled. Plus my son asked me to take a break and not spend so much time hanging out on the computer. And how can I say no to my little boy who, next thing I know, will be asking me for the car keys.

So how 'bout you? Where have you all been and what have you been up to?

If you've been up to no good, then please share. This place needs some excitement.

I've been doing a lot of stuff recently. I'm back in Canada. Got a new job working for an animation company. Just chillin really.

I got to see Meat Beat Manifesto yesterday, it was one of the best shows i've ever seen in my life. The audience was about 30 people and I got to hang out with Jack and the others after the show. Got all my CDs signed and such. Had a great night.

I've been checking this forum about once a day, but nothing new has really been going on :(

Other than that, I've been studying for finals and working my McJob. This week is "Dead" week (though I guess the new term is Pre-finals week) here at OK State University. Well, I'm stressed and don't care at the same time.

So I've also been procrastinating on and off. Today I got serious about doing studying, and I must say I feel much better with myself.

@prochem: thats awesome, I reallllly wish I was there.

@Whirlz: great topic!

I'm still here, lurking somewhere in the background. I check the forum like once a day to see what's up. I'm to busy lately with an actual life hahahaha.

I just don't really feel the need to post that much anymore. Wich is a bit sad.

Yes very quiet. Well 18 days and counting for me, going to Tokyo for a few days. Won a competition in The Sun, all expenses paid and spending money. Cant fucking wait. Gonna check out Womb in Shibuya se what thats like. Gonna book up for IcelandAirwaves in Reykjavik as soon as details are announced. Been the last 3 years. Each year I pray the Chems will be announced as headliners but it just never happens. A bit too small for them me thinks. Not getting to up my own arse though, ive kept my British feet on the ground and booked 4 nights in Magalluf

1. School: finished a midterm on tues and a debate earlier today, almost done with college... w00tness.

2. Work: At the coffee place every day I'm not in school, excluding wednesday. Can't wait to get real job, so I don't have to be in retail and encounter so many nutters. Might have to wait until after the England trip, because I'm not going to give up my chances of that for a job.

3. Ladies: haha nothing going on there. Really fancy one of my friends, but wouldn't want to alienate our friendship with that feelings crap, sooo I'm not really trying to pursuit it. Don't know how she feels and don't wanna been one of those creepy people, so we'll see if I can up on clues or ques if any come up.

4. Music: Never really talk too much about this, aside from synth banter (before Studio Tech got hijacked by midi/software questions). Have a band loosely formed. One of my closest friends is a bass player, I play guitar and do hands on stuff with productions and of course synths. A guy in one of my classes who I'm becoming good friends with is an excellent drummer and can play a damn nice version of Saturate. Plus he knows another guitarist. So we occasionally jam, although it's hard to fit into the schedule as of now. Been trying to record demos to give the other guys idea of everything, I've been the only one writing music, but I'm sure I can get some good ideas out of the other guys once they see the big picture. I'll start posting on this more soon, hopefully

5. Cooking: been really into this recently. A lot of excellent cooks in my family and I think that gene is finally kicking in. Been making food for #3 ^ so that helps...

...that is all.

Biff, you're a playa.

I've been doing a whole lot of Biff's #2, and... hmmm... that actually sounds absolutely disgusting when thought of in the wrong way. Back to the topic, I've been working a lot and having quite a few late nights, sometimes 13 hour days. The life of a paralegal can be stressful at times.

Ooh, I got to fight off a sinus infection with the help of antibiotics recently, which I'm still on. This meant that for the past week I have been drinking liquids sans alcohol, which isn't fun when you go to a birthday party full of awkward people, because all you're left with is the booze.

This weekend should be entertaining with the Simian Mobile Disco show.

And as for everyone who still posts here, yes, I have love for you all.

::cheers::

Great topic, Whirly! Tell your little guy, not a bad idea! ;)

I've been REALLY busy, actually.

Friends and I (one of whom is CyberFlash, who is never on here, so I'm just going to start calling him "friend" as you don't know who he is anymore, I'm sure) started a little silly short.

It involves a song about "beating bitches with a bat" and Ness, of EarthBound and Brawl/Melee/SSB64. It's been a ridiculously fun project and I really hope some of you guys get laughs out of it when it's finally done.

"Friend" also has his own radio show now! I'm gettin' to guest star on it now and then with mixes and such. It's great fun. I'm glad he got his spot. (He'll probably end up making a post about it on here a he likes to play Chems and good stuff.)

Uh, work is good. I freelance graphics stuff and do computer maintenance for whoever needs it. And things are picking up! Good for me.

Forsake the Brothers? Never! Not in a million years. In an infinite amount of time! Well, ever. You get it.

We love you too, Iggy. <3

rad topic whirly. i miss the old regulars.

yeh it's still all about the sound course for me. these last 2 weeks were supposed to be holidays but i managed 55 hours of studio time helping mates and doing some recording for assessment. I must say there are some of the coolest cats at my college - i feel really lucky to be there with these rad peeps. honestly even makes up for missing the 2 chems gigs i still have tix for.

been a couple of nights of pills and plenty of booze this year - which has made quite a nice change for me ... a rediscovery of old times of sorts.

depressingly not nearly enough female action though. :( :( :(

so would love to hit up Womb with nalaknip! :o
