Whilst Clannad were rooted in traditional Irish music, Enya went for a more mystical/electronic approach. Her sound was created in London's Orinoco studios (hence the title of the track), now Miloco studios. And as you know WN a certain godlike music combo has used Orinoco studios to record their albums. So maybe that adds a bit of um, 'credibility'. Or something.
Cool. I'm really not embarrassed at all to like it, just wasn't aware it was actually cool to enjoy Enya. And I guess in some circles... well whatever. Music's so much better when you're not embarrassed to listen to it anyway.
Also, after listening to Enya for around two hours, I switched over to Chemical Beats. And it was like hearing the track for the first time - UGH! Sounded ten times more intense and insane contrasted against the soft ambience.

Nah, don't bother with what's deemed cool or not. Music is a very private thing, and sure it can be nice to get some affirmation by others, that's what we're here for too, isn't it ? But what ulitmately counts is your very own opinion, your perception and what you draw from things such as music, like emotions, associations, memories and what not.
I've been listeing to some of Ron Jones' music lately who is one talent of a composer, best know for Star Trek TNG or Family Guy. His work is quite compelling and atmospheric too. But after a while I had to put on some chems too and it felt so fresh and awesome listening to those tunes again.

Aaaaah, did someone mention U2?
I remember this connection well...
Which brought me to discover this lovely piece, many moons ago...
(Neither of which I find embarrassing)
