It's amazing. I still feel really energized from Tuesday's night out. Such an amazing night: it really rejuvenated my faith in music, my friends, my city. Very cathartic night (and morning!) and totally got me out of a bit of a fog.

Maybe it's not me, just the E Talking ( ;-) ), but it completely cleansed all the poisons in me.

And everytime I hear Talk (Jacques Lu Cont mix) I get this big, goofy grin that reminds me of it.

:D

I'm not even sure it's that (although it's that, too, of course). I was down at the library today, flipping through a pictorial book of Winnipeg and was actually struck by how beautiful the city is and can be at times. Total paradigm shift right now, and I hope it lasts.

I know what you mean. I've been there, I can hear ya.

When a fog is lifted, you can see things in a whole new light.

It can be the drugs, or a good night out, or a long rant session where you let it all out. Or a gentle balance/combination of all those things. Whatever it is that brings you through that doorway, it can make the future seem a bit brighter. :)

I'm a little drunk now, I should have been out on the hot girl from our office's leaving do, but I turned up at the pub and no-one else was there :x

So I got the train home, and on the way called up my best mate and a few of us went out instead. Wasn't quite the night I envisiged (sp = not even close!), I expected to be far too drunk to operate the computer, and maybe getting lucky with the girl that was leaving (wishful thinking big style! )

Not a bad night, could have been better but that's always the case with anything.

Yeah, feel kinda bad I never got to say goodbye to her, I know she's off round the world in a couple of months so would have been nice to wish her well.

On the other hand, the closure might be better for me (she actually left last Wednesday, it was just her leaving do tonight). I haven't seen her since she left, and it's freed my mind up a little. Sort of a relief I guess - time will tell!! Haha :P

Why dont you try and get her number ring her up and tell her bye bye?

Ask if she wants to go out for a drink, says no, too bad, shes off around the world like:P

Says yes, score eh? 8)

Maybe it could turn out like one of those cheesy movies where you go with her too hah.

awww, you're so sweet! :)

You should email her or something while she's away. If you have her email that is. You don't have to write her every day, but just start off by saying how you really wanted to wish her well. And later on every once in a while just ask her how she's enjoying herself and whatnot. Play it mellow and play it by ear.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. You deserve a good woman!

Sadly, I've got nothing :'(

On Monday I'll ask some people at work what happened, why no-one was at the pub, but that's pretty much where it will end. I'll wait for the next opportunity, fate had conspired against me this time.

P.S. I'm not buzzed now, just a little hungover!

David Van Patten, character in Bret Easton Ellis' 'American Psycho', provides this hopefully helpful definition:

"A (woman with a) good personality consists of a chick with a little hard body, who will satisfy all sexual demands without being too slutty about things, and who essentially will keep her dumb fucking mouth shut."

Perhaps not what you're looking for... but hopefully helpful.

Come on Jeanie, I know you're out there! Pick up your damn phone or are you in a place where the bass is so loud you can't feel your phone vibrating? Not like you'd be here on this board when you're probably out partying with the Olsen Twins in NYC!

hahahaaaaaaaa!!! X-D Tell your roommate I'm so sorry for waking her up!!

I dunno, I think I'd rather be in this forum than with the Olsen girls.... The Simpson sisters maybe...

Alrighty, now that we're prepped with a double helping of cold syrup and a double helping of vodka, it's time to call 'stash and Whirly...... heh.

Meh. It's just before 2 AM and I feel like making some phone calls to see if there's anything going on right now that I should put some clothes on and leave the house for.

Pretty bored at the moment. Girlfriend left a little over an hour ago. Don't really feel like drinking myself into a stupor by myself; would prefer some company for that. If only I didn't work in the morning...
