Yeah, IMO CWU is just as amazing as the other albums, I mean, Star Guitar - sheesh! it's so f*cking cool! It Began in Afrika - The smartest dance tracks I've heard, "KA-KA-KA-KA!!!!", mental

I won't rant about the other songs, but they all have "that thing" that makes me love them.

And that thing about people not liking The Golden Path has puzzled me since the release. Easily one of the best songs I've ever heard, to me it's definetly one of the best songs ever produced(if not THE best)...LOVE IT!

'nuff said, now give me Push The Button...8)

Oh, and they're looking foward to the final installment of Star Wars, that's cool.

fuckin right. star wars is something a bit special for the 30 something generation. i am also keen to see how this last film pans out. i'm old enough to remember my dad taking me to see a new hope and empire strikes back double bill when empire was released.

shit time to get outta geek mode

Now I can get into geek mode!!

I'm actually looking foward to the new Star Wars - here's hoping it's better than the first two prequels. I paid money to see them but being a fan of the first 3 I just had to. I also get to take my son, who's totally obsessed with Star Wars right now. He's got the dvd's and the Darth Vadar action figure and the light sabers to prove it! His being into it reminds me of me when I was his age. Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a theater and there's never been a movie going experience quite like it, then again, I'm not 5 years old like I was then!!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

What do you guys think about the Phantom Menace film - I saw it at the cinema and really enjoyed it but lots of people saw it but hated it.

at the time CWU was released i loved this album so much and still do. I think one reason i loved it so was because this was the first album i had seen them tour. Looking back on it i still love it but i dnt think its quite as good as surrender despite having some brilliant tunes and some of there best work.

Its a shame the golden path 'tanked' but to be honest it wasnt my favorite track of theres it didnt really grab me in the way something like HBHG did. But saying that i do really like it life and on confront your demons it works really well.

What did u guys think of the performance they did on mtv european music awards of HBHG into Golden Path?

thought that performance was great as for cwu i think it is a great album but my only problem with it is the flow. unlike there other albums the flow from song to songjust doesn't work for me. love most of the album

shit!! a huge dissapointment. the third chapter in the prequal has to deliver is it doesn't then the 3 new film will have been pointless.

i still remember playing with my star wars figures as a kid!! and yer seeing star wars on the big screen as a kid was inspirational. i just hope they got the story sorted for 'revenge of the sith'. the trailler looks amazing!!! especially finaly seeing darth vadar's return. this film is ment to make the first 2 films make sence to the whole series. i really hope it does. sometime i think these new films are just george lucas advertising ILM and their film technology.

i think some people forget the on CWU was Hoops , Star Guitar , Afrika and the Test not to mention the quality of the rest of the album(these ones were just the ones that everyone played or listened too). Thats 4 top quality tracks on one album !

Well it does sadden me a little to learn that Tom and Ed were hurt by the negative criticism towards Come With Us and Golden Path. I appreciate that they are only human (!) and are bound to be hurt by negative criticism, hell I would be, but at the end of the day there are probably a hundred Chems fans who loved both those recordings for every one critic who sledged them. Just do the math! Nuff said :D

Oh I also wanted to say that I think Golden Path is one of the Chems' all time best tunes! I almost cried the first time I saw the video too! Its just plain fantastic!

Tom and Ed if you read this, I hope you do realise, and I'm sure everyone on this forum will agree, that in the eyes of Chems fans you can do no wrong and, apart from yourselves, we are the only critics whose opinions matter!

Cheers all :D

for many people, the golden path was tune of the year 2003 (as star guitar was 2002) - made it in german SPEX mag charts for 2 months (which is quite rare as they usually totally change their chart monthly), end-of-the-year-charts of all the good alternative mags...
love is all.

Wow, I can't believe people didn't like The Golden Path. It is really beutiful and so are the lyrics. Actually, the one song I really didn't get until recently until I decided to give it another chance was The Private Psychedellic reel.
