I believe that this movie will simply blow $tar War$ away:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I have high hopes for Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Finally! Looks like it's gonna blow a lot of people out of the water.

There are a few movies coming out that I'm looking forward to...

Mirrormask, written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Dave McKean, both from the Sandman comics, looks as trippy and hallucinatory as anything Dom & Nic could think up www.mirrormask.com

and then there's Sin City, that's going to be amazing.

As for star wars..... after his last two movies, that trailer makes me feel like a battered wife.... it's like, 'George said he wouldn't hit me anymore, he promised it would be different if I came back this time, he swore he *OUCH!*'... like, how many chances can I give the guy? I already feel like my childhood was raped, just based on Episode 1...

*sigh*, my son wants to see it, so I'll go.

I got the (import) DVD, go me! Love asian flicks. Ichi The Killer, Versus, Zaitoichi, Battle Royale... Great stuff.

I love Battle Royale... the sequel kinda blew, but I watch BR all the time... it's one of those that you have to show your friends... I have a copy I DLed, it's not for sale here, and the import ones you can get are the wrong region DVDs...

I tried to show people Ichi the Killer too, but whirlygirl wasn't having that... they actually released a cut R rated version of it over here, but I Dled a fan-subbed japanese DVD rip.

Slipvin, you ever seen, or heard of, the movie Casshern?

Yep, it looks very cool. I've seen a special screening of it in Amsterdam. Story wise there are a few plotholes but dang, the cgi is awesome!

Another cool movie is Avalon by Mamoru Oshii (of Ghost in the Shell fame). A bit slow but very satisfying. Sword in the Moon is another cool pic. If you don't know Versus you should check it out too.

I saw a very bad rip of casshern, with subtitles, and then I watched a very good rip with no subtitles and 'Surrender' playing instead... it was better the second way.
