And below is what the elephant looked like when I saw it. Most of the paint was washed off. I am all against animal abuse but this creature was very well looked after and taken care of by numerous security and trainers. And it was only on "display" for about 5 minutes when I was there, the rest of the time it was outside with food, water and fresh air. Only the animal's handlers and the odd photo op were allowed near it when it was outside
Did I mention it farted in our general direction? It definitely cleared a good portion of the room!
An exhibition by headline-grabbing UK artist Banksy has been criticised for including a live painted elephant.
The animal, called Tai, was covered in pink and gold paint and placed in a mocked-up house to represent how world poverty is widely ignored.
Officials from the Los Angeles Animal Services Department told the Associated Press they would never again issue permits for such a "frivolous" purpose.
The elephant's owner said the dye was non-toxic and welfare was paramount.
Ed Boks, head of Animal Services in Los Angeles, said: "I think it sends a very wrong message that abusing animals is not only OK, it's an art form.
"We find it no longer acceptable to dye baby chicks at Easter, but it's OK to dye an elephant."

That sucks Ben, but it happens to all of us. It won't be the last chance you'll get, there'll be others.
I'm excited and nervous right now about the first time I've been abroad for 8 years. Just me and a mate for a week (also the first time I've done this for 6 years), should be mad! First time I've been on a jet ever, sure it's pretty god damn boring.
Probably be the last holiday for a while too, coz it's so damn expensive!!!
