What distortion unit/rack do the chems use most often?

I know liam howlett uses the Boss SE-70 for most of his stuff.

And what are your own personal favorites?

I'm looking for something that give me a a nice phat distortion and a nice overdrive distortion.

I tried searching this already but I couldn't find a thread that answered my question.

Nope they just use FL's Fast Dist

The guitars in Out of Control were used by the Slayer plugin.

i thought the chems used logic for programming etc? how would they use FL's distortion with that?

also they have a lot of hardware synths, so monitoring a VST distortion would be a nightmare... i know they have a thermonic culture vulture:

why would you use an FL distortion when you have that bad boy!!!

big muffs and boss distortions all the way.

also.. im pretty sure that bernard from new order played the guitar parts in OOC....

I had access to a RAT R2DU not long ago. Tried both a TB303 and an SH101 thru it and it was fucking sensational fun. The sound I was getting with the 101 thru both circuits at once and then sent thru a TCE3000 reverb unit still haunts me to this day.

if you look software, get Ohm Force Ohmicide, it really sounds close to a distortion pedal, and Tom Rowlands said about it

"I really dig the new ohmicide plug in its some heavy duty bizniz"

Or you can get a disto pedal for between 40 and 70€, try the Boss MT-2 or the Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff, Big Muff Pi or any "Big Muff something" you can find

I like the artists comments on the Ohm Force website

bass in the middle with reverb

drums with stereo xpand & reverb

guitar/intruments left/right with reverb
