I personally have never been to a club, and after reading this thread i dont believe i ever will
Na, that's not the right attitude, this all happened on a Wednesday, I did the same thing on Friday but it didn't involve any gayness or strange goings on, well from what I can currently remember :?

You can't be a Chem's fan and not want to go to clubs! The whole EBW series is made for clubs! They release all of their material on records (as well as cd's etc) so DJ's can play their tunes in clubs. IMO you can't completely appreciate alot of their material until you've heard it at ear splitting volumes on the dancefloor. You haven't heard Star Guitar until you've heard it like this :D

In due time, people will make their way to the clubs. Some people here are still on the young side - their time will come.
I used to be turned off by clubs, to be honest. I heard they were just a bunch of meat markets, crap music, etc. Just wasn't my thing and I was kind of introverted, very shy in social situations. I didn't even go to a club until I was 19. After that I lived for the weekends. Nothing like hearing something so loud you have no other option but to dance and go with it. It's a good night out.
FlamingDead, don't worry about the age thing. Just be yourself. If it makes you feel any better, I'm the oldest person here because I have no life!!

Yeah, sorry FlamingDead, I wasn't having a go at you in particular, just got a bit carried away :). To tell you the truth I didn't pick that you were 13 at all, so I wouldn't be worried about people not respecting your opinions.
But yeah, I guess it depends what clubs you go to. In Brisbane there are heaps of clubs that play really cheesy commercial shite, and I can definitely see where you're coming from whirlygirl when you say it's like a "meat market". There's a club in Brisbane that has the bar down the middle couches around the edges of the room. We liken it to the "pigs at the trough" :). But there are a handful of decent clubs that get really good DJ's to play (and live acts too). Evil Nine and Infusion played at The Rev a few weeks ago, and Sasha played at Family 2 nights ago, so it's not all bad.

EBW = Electronic Battle Weapon
An Electronic Battle Weapon is a sort of "foundation" or test-run song. There's 7 of them all together. Sometimes, an Electronic Battle Weapon is a sort of early version of a song... or even a sort of foundation for a song that's going to appear later on one of their records. Like... for instance, Electronic Battle Weapon 6 (which appears on The American EP) is akin to Hoops on Come With Us. They are pressed (vinyl) and the Brothers road test it on the dancefloor. They also give them out to other dj's for some test driving.
^ Probably not the best description, but hopefully someone can elaborate a little more here to give you a better idea
Anyway, Electronic Battle Weapons are well sought after by collectors.

EBW = Electronic Battle Weapon. The Chem's release a tracks to DJ's before albums/singles come out to see how it works in clubs and how other DJ's like it. The tracks are usually dance floor stompers like "It Began In Afrika" or the remix of hoops, and the song is more in the structure that a DJ could use in a set than as a "normal" song. Do a search for EBW on the forums to and read what other people say about them and you'll get the idea :) In short, they're rare and they rock.
