Didn't include Setting Sun, The Golden Path, The Boxer, The Salmon Dance, and The Pills Won't Help You Now since those all exist already, and Out Of Control because I needed room for Hanna's Theme (Vocal Version). We have Enjoyed anyway. Pick as many as you want.

Mine are Left Right, Battle Scars, and Close Your Eyes. The first two I don't like the vocals, they're pretty distracting, especially in the case of Battle Scars. And Close Your Eyes because I think it'd sound awesome the way the Pills instrumental does. What's yours?

Not Another Drugstore - It's such a cool track! Not that I don't like the rapping but the instrumental is so powerful and there's just so much going on in the background that I want to hear... remind me again why this was a B-side?
Asleep From Day - I think the vocals are a little silly, but the music is dreamy ambience at its best.
Left Right and Get Yourself High - I think I can explain both of these the same way: it's not that I mind the raps, but they're such great grooves that they could more than stand up on their own.
Hold Tight London - Only because I'd want it for mixing purposes!

I'd have included The Test and The State We're In, but I just love the former too much with the vocals and in the latter the vocals are already gone by the time it starts getting good.

I've always found the vocals in Keep My Composure to be a bit juvenile despite the awesome backing track. This is an easy winner for me.

I'd also like to hear a stripped version of Left Right for similar reasons. I just don't care for the vocal track.

I'm very okay with the rest the way they are. Then again, hearing the instrumental of The Pills Won't Help You Now has brought me a greater appreciation for the original...
Gonna work it out...

Uh...there's already an instrumental verison of it hm...Hanna's Theme you know ?

I voted for :

Not Another Drugstore : the vocals are ace but the instrumental kicks ass !
The Test : same thing
Left Right and Keep My Commposure : I just don't like the vocals, but both instrumentals are good.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
And I will rape

ARR would fit well for me with stripped vocals. The closest I got was when I heard it live on the WATN tour. It's personally my best track off the album.

NAD! fo sho', but I still dig Justin Warfields gab!

EDIT: My fave would go to HTL because it has that chill/energy tribal texture to it!

This was hard because it feels (to me) these tracks came to fruition with vocals in mind. The vocals completing the bigger picture. So they feel well integrated in the song structure, not like they are swimming above what's going on instrumentally. I'm so used to these songs as they are, that to imagine them as instrumentals is difficult and either shows my lack of imagination, resistance to change and new things, and my unwavering fangirl assertion that chems-can-do-no-wrong with their own music. Or maybe I just haven't given any of this enough thought until now. :P

But anyway - I chose Not Another Drugstore, Left Right and All Rights Reversed.

Not Another Drugstore was the easiest choice of the 3 for some reason I can't put my finger on yet. There's nothing wrong with the rap at all, I love it. It builds this tension within the song almost like there's a battle going on within it musically. The instrumental is so damn solid, though. It would be wicked to hear this on its own, maybe even tweaked a bit.

Left Right has been criticized here in the past but I have always liked the vocals... felt this song came a bit out of left field in that it was so unexpected a thing to appear on a Chems album. And I thought that was bold and risky. The reason why I chose this one is because there's such a great groove going on instrumentally like Champi said. It would be interesting to hear this stripped of vocals.

All Rights Reversed was a tough choice. I dig the vocals a lot, they are crafted well and even bring in an element of being radio friendly (in the sense the song feels accessible outside of just those who like electronic music). But I adore what's going on musically. There are a lot of textures here that shine, but would have the chance to shine more brightly if this was just an instrumental. Especially the drums. Love them.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

You know what I mean, the whole five minutes, with percussion and all.

Added All Rihts Reversed to my vote, the instrumental is awesome. It could have been a great album closer with some edits.

"Old Git" is Spring. This thing is super rare, even more rare than that unmixed Further promo.

I prefer the name old git than spring!

Go ahead and buy it White Noise! Then play it in your room real loud, than grab a mic and bust a freestyle...

My initial question was, "What is Old Git?" ...so, uh, thanks for the answer. I didn't even have to check the link.

Anyway, good find. I was not aware of this one.
Gonna work it out...

Yes, there is an instrumental: www.discogs.com/release/965854
And it is not so hard to find in mp3 and also in flac.
Just google for (CHEMSDJ25)-PROMO-CDM-FLAC-2007-WRE
Did I pass the acid test?
