Well I have been listening to music for a fair while now and I have decided that i want to try my hand tune making (i.e. techno). Now I have reason 2.5 and I am not willing to go out and buy a $1000 bucks worth of equip just to find out its not my thing. So how do I get into the whole techno making biz w/o having to put a substantial amount of money into it?
ps. tutorials of any kind would be very helpful.

Right on - go for it!! :D
Now that you have Reason, all you need is a keyboard with midi ports and a set of midi cables to access and help you utilize the sounds in the Reason sound bank.
The keyboard doesn't have to be anything fancy (mine is a Yamaha PSR500 and I got it about 15 years ago - that keyboard and Reason is all I've used to create music). And the keyboard doesn't even need to be full sized. You can pick up a cheap one just about anywhere and most if not all of them nowadays have midi ports on the back.
You're 2/3 of the way there without blowing a wad of cash - get yourself a modest keyboard and go to town!

Check out www.computermusic.co.uk for some tutorials, though most assume basic Reason comprehension and ability and deal with version 3.0 (though most of the advice still holds).
Other sites to check are www.combinatorhq.com, www.propellerheads.se, www.reasonstation.net.
I've got 3.0 but it's on a computer I don't currently use and I never learned very much myself thus I can't offer personal advice at this point.
