and another thing!
why do the far east coutries supporters scream when their teams are playing football? i remmeber it was rife during japan/korea 2002 and watching the korea/toga game its exactly the same!
its not a pop concert!! offensive chants and deep throated cheering only please. tut tut.

Yeah South Korea did it in the end but didn't convince anyone imo until the last 30 minutes or so. Togo looked a threat going forward but the sending-off and free kick was a massive blow for them. I think a Beenhakker-style substitution or change of tactic at 1-2 would have really made a difference but it never came. However they've done themselves proud after all the stuff they went through before the World Cup and probably being the most ridiculed team in the tournament before today. South Korea we shall wait and see...

Oh but another thing : really not fair-play from Korea : during the 20 last minutes they didn't play, even the free kick at the last minute, they did a little pass, they give the ball back to the defense, and they continued their passes...
I think the Korean fans made their feelings known about that!! ;-)

I mean they really THINK they're gonna win. Of course every team cants to win, but Switzerland really think they have chances to win, that they are a great team...
I still want Switzerland to beat France though...nicer people :P.
oh, naughty marsh, you won't have french wine when I come to Fabric }:-@

yeah we had many good actions but Henry missed evry shoot he did, except the one which has been touched by the hand of the swiss defenser... It had to be a penalty, and without this hand, it would be a goal...
He needs more support from the midfield.

well, i fell asleep for 20 mins of this match, think that says it all!!
quite disappointed with france, and acid is right, no support whatsoever from midfield makes a waste of his talents (henry that is).
didnt really see what all that fuss was about ribery either, thought he was quite average and deserved an early substitiution. but its only one game, who knows they could get better.
and that ref, jesus christ, i really hope he doesnt ref an england game, rooney would be off in 10 mins!

Ben J - if I could make it to Fabric I'd happily buy you one!! ;-)
France vs Switzerland - Very even game helped by a French performance which was lethargic to say the least, so many big names but very average showing from them. The Swiss had a couple of great chances and should have won.
Brazil v Croatia - Brazil won without doing a great deal - the Croatians rose to the challenge with some great play but in front of goal it was painful to watch!! Brazil seemed happy to let Croatia play and then occasionally explode into life themselves - and what a goal it was when it came!! I think Brazil will get through the group stage but when they come up against a team who can finish (like the Czechs) then they'll have to have a rethink.
