@Iggy: lol. Sex with 14 year-olds is hot, regardless of who directs the movie.

And yes, SPOILER ALERT A COMPLETE NECESSITY WITH THE DARK KNIGHT!

I was going to see it this weekend, but every-single-showing on the IMAX screen has been sold out since last week. I would go see it on a regular screen but, come on, it was filmed significantly on a 70mm camera... I can't expect to see the film on a "normal" screen and think to have the same experience as on an IMAX screen.

Just came back from 'TDK' and must say its worth every peso! a superb film thats very well crafted. Breakthrough acting by Heath Ledger, a great story that's cohesive and cinematic, good action and a very long movie that kept my attention every second! Plus they showed the Salvation,Watchman, and Spirit (Eva Mendes!!!) trailers as an extra bonus.

The joker was just fucking awesome! Will see it again but Imax tickets are still sold out! I'll wait.

God, Dark Knight was gorgeous. If you don't see it, you're only hurting yourself.

Brace yourself for the length, though. Fans of comic book movies aren't exactly used to 2 1/2 hour crime epics.

This is agony you guys, I want to see this so bad but don't know if I'll be able to this weekend.

Thanks for the positive reviews so far - I trust y'all's judgement. It only makes me look more forward to it so that's a good thing.

whirly - this film's really worth the effort and pain to get the tickets. u'll know what i mean when u see it - it puts to shame any superhero film made in the last 15 yrs. by miles n miles. SUPERawesome category.

caught the dvd rip of harold n kumar last week finally - was hugely disappointed. the film falls back on too many cliches and looks n feels very stale compared to the brilliant first part. i can't believe i'd be saying this one day after waiting for this film desperately for the last 3 yrs!

also saw be kind rewind - really liked it - though it could have been better. really cool idea there mr gondry.

!!! WARNING DARK KNIGHT SPOILER !!!

So I just saw the movie last night. It was Pretty good. The Joker lived up to the hype. And so did Eckhart, until he became 2-face. Does anybody really care about Batman at this point?

Personally, I thought the movie could've gotten "darker", or shall I say more "disturbing". However, I understand that in doing so, your going to kill a large chunk of your audience due to age restriction.

And when I mean, "darker" or "disturbing", I'm saying killing more people. For example, one of those boats should have blown up (if not both). And those tied up "hostages" that were dressed up in the clown masks and had uzis duct tapped to their hands, should have been killed off too. You can't just be saving all the innocent civilians, or else you undermining your super villain's strong point.

I don't know, it just seems they let up at some parts where they shouldn't have. Maybe I just have bloodlust.

Movie = 8/10

Joker= 10/10

I didnt do the IMAX experience, but I think I might go see it again just to see if its THAT much better...

Jay-C, seen the original Hitcher? That film is top notch! Havent' got round to the remake (which didn't need to be done) but it's got Sean Bean in so I'll watch it.

Watched Re-Animator yesterday, crazy film :D

yeah the orginal hitcher for it's time was a good horror. Rutger haugher (spelling) always plays a great bad guy.

The Hitcher... there's a blast from the past. I love Rutger Hauer. You are so right Jay-C, he does play a great bad guy!

We're finally going to see Dark Knight tomorrow afternoon!

--DARK KNIGHT--

movie worked for me..

too long though..

not nearly cohesive enough..

not well paced..

but still very solid..

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Dark Knight was really awesome, and there was some amazing, sweeping cinematography and scenery that really shone on the Imax screen.

We enjoyed it so much, we want to see this again in the theater - maybe on a regular screen (because the 15 bucks a head for the Imax is a bit pricey).

NO SPOILERS HERE, JUST A BIT OF HEATH-GUSHING. imo, he more than delivered, and was the best part of the whole film. So good, that when you're watching the movie you despise him so much yet he's so deliciously villianous that you want to cheer for him - he is that good. He played the sociapathic, psychotic and twisted part of the Joker so cinvincingly and brilliantly. It is sad that he's not around to see the amazing response this movie is getting and the accolades he's receiving for his role as the Joker.

Anyway, it's past my bedtime so I guess I'll have revisit this thread another time...

Watched Batman Begins last night, and I am really skeptical if Nolan can take this franchisee any further and better it. No joker anymore for sure, let's see what villains can he bring back? There's a solid plot base there with Batman needing to be tracked now, but I somehow just dont see Nolan being able to better this one without Heath, or any other way.

Holy cash-cow, batman! It's amazing this movie has done so well at the box office. I mean, it's baaaaaarely a superhero movie. Just goes to show that slapping a few comic book characters onto a crime drama will put asses in the seats!

I wonder how many kids actually liked the movie.. it's definitely geared more towards adults.

I want to see it again, too. TO THE GILLMOBILE!
