I absolutely love that tune. Gets a workout anytime I go for a long drive. Fantastic lyrics, great Beth vocals, and quite a tune. I would love to see a live version sneak out (and have been saying so for a while) but it's unlikely to ever happen.

Does anyone notice that on the coachella recording it sounds way faster. Kinda messes with our head a bit after hearing the official version. I have checked into too much detail, but the pitch sounds the same, so I wonder if when they played it at coachella they originally planned on making it a faster track. Tom did say they had changed it since then. I've probably gone into the realm of over-speculation.

This new background on the website is clearly symbolic and has some clues as to the new visuals we can expect to see.
So with my planned wedding due in September, all money coming in goes on this, and so I missed out on Roundhouse!
2007, when WATN came out around the same month Further will, they toured in Birmingham at the NIA, I'm hoping they do the same again this year as I shall be a free man, well free to spend my money on watching my beloved chemical brothers play their new album, not free in the sense I shall be firmly tied down, so to speak!
Hopefully a full British tour will be announced after Sonar etc, or sooner maybe, I'm sure it will come, I'm impatient, but I am now at ease with hearing escape velocity, the new website and the great discissions that are cropping up here on the best cot daaaamn forum know to man! I must make more effort, it's not like I go on, and on and on about meaningless stuff, eh!?? errr maybe...
Anyway here's to good times and good music!

Considering that it was a DJ set, they might've sped it up to mix cleanly from another track, or just to keep the crowd going harder.

Oh yes, I love that song too! Put it on a chillout collection disc for a friend years ago and he digged it.
This track would have done more justice to Beth's artist skills as a singer than Where do I begin when she was guest performing at Koko some years back. Where do I begin live was splendid for an instrumental (esp. loved the beat towards the end!!) but I always felt bad for Beth as she had just 3 lines to sing.

The patchily brilliant Come With Us (2002) tried everything, from hammering techno to My Bloody Valentine guitars to silly old Richard Ashcroft, in pursuit of escape velocity.

That is an interesting find and observation. I'm thinking it's more coincidence, though.
brother_ging, I don't think the author was trying to be an ass - maybe a twinge sarcastic. He's just being a critic, and trying to briefly sum up Come With Us in a single sentence and how it relates to where the Chems are (or were) with Push The Button. Also take into consideration Come With Us' reception was lukewarm coming off the heels of the oh-so-hot Surrender, so what he said was minor... Here's the Push The Button review from the Guardian that has the escape velocity mention: http://www.guardian....drock.shopping1
