I'm curious to see if there is going to be a remix album of it like Flip the Switch. Although it sucked, I'm not against it. It just means more of Chems through different ears.

* i want all songs to have an equal amount of time to grow on me, i dont want to be familiar with the single when i get the album as i will be too excited to listen to the rest of it and wont be excited about the single on the album, id like to get it all in one go
* Downloading is wrong, although im sure everyone here will buy a copy reguardless, but i will have the cd when tom and ed intend me to, there would be nothing worse than seeing a movie premier when you already know how it ends. Also i want a full quality sound the first time i hear it, and MP3 just wont cut it for me.
* i want the artwork there with me on my first listen, the artwork always helps guide me in putting an image to the music, i assosiate the DYOH album with all that crazy art in there, and i like the way it compliments the music.
* im a stupid fuckhead who is very pedantic about listening to music, especially when it comes to the chems

Haha - that's what I intended to do earlier, hear it the first time on LP, but considering I'll get the cd here in my country around release time, and the LP never, and hence will have to source it from abroad, I don't think I'll last the wait.
I totally agree with your thought process - even I will not be downloading the album, I'd be hearing it one shot on CD - with the Chems even I want it the sound away the first time I hear it.
Bout the single, I'd definitely get it as soon as it's out - I remember hearing the singles everytime before the album, and finally the rest of the new album doesn't take ANY time to catch up - it hits as hard in it's entirety even if you've heard a song off it earlier - didn't u hear the Boxer earlier, but ended up loving the whole cd as much, some songs way more, the last time around?

Well , i'm gonna hear tracks of the new album live on May 31st , so this thread is not for me X-D
You don't know that, they could just play Exit Planet Dust live! :P
Haha - that would be awesome for those of us who weren't around for gigging in '95! Maybe May 31st is gonna be the final PTB concert for all we know.... I somehow doubt (and hope) not though - bring on WATN!

Besides, I feel that hearing a song before other people makes me a better person than they are.
it's the only reason I listen to music. by the way, I made this exact same comment on another forum 1 hour before you. haaa haaa!
BWAH! Pretentious, elitist bastards think alike man!

anyone else going to avoid the single and everything until release of the album? this is a thread to support those people because its going to be really hard.

Definately not gonna listen to the album in full until I have the cd in full, I don't like the idea of downlaoding albums anyway. If I hear the new single on the radio I won't complain, but I'm with you on the album dude!

Sorry, but grabbing it as soon as it hits p2p. I'll also buy the CD and singles though. And maybe the LP if it would fit in my sets.
I'm in this category, simply because when I go to see them in Amsterdam, I want to recognize the tracks from WATN. I like to hear the tracks live and know them well--I love it when I hear the differences in the sound of live vs. studio.
The ways that the Bros. transform the songs live is amazing--during the last tour, Believe blew my fcuking mind!

What would be cool (but not very probable) is if the Chems had an online streaming listening party type deal. One time only - prior to release date, and hopefully before any leaks make their way online. I would consider taking a day off work just so I could sit in on the listening party. How cool would it be to hear a 1 time sneak preview stream of the new album with all you freaks here? It would like like the EBW 8 and 9 experience x1000!
