i still havent listened to any tracks off the new album, including the new single, im not getting up on my high horse or anything, obviously most of you know this was a dissision (spelling) i made for myself.

but it seems almost everyone here has already downloaded it and heard it "(making life harder for me, especially after hearing about the delayed date)

just wondering who else has not heard the album yet and why?

Having had a listen to the album this morning i can safely say that the album is comptle shite! The intro is nice, real nice infact, Do It again is pretty good, Burst Generator being my personal fav... The rest however is dreadful, Just my personal opinion :)

I have only heard Do It Again. (and Saturate in EBW8 form)

I'm happy waiting, there's a lot of alternatives to listen to and if you start to count the hours to the release (or something like that) you place huge expectations for the record and then when you purchase it and put it into your record player you might get disheartened by even the smallest feature that doesn't match with your expectations.

If the wait seems too hard you just need a little perspective. It's just an hour of music and when it comes out it's going to be yours for the rest of your life.

I have not heard the album yet.

Well, I have already heard a quarter of it :

- EBW 8 = Saturate ;

- Do It Again (BBC1 + myspace) ;

- Das Spiegel (BBC1).

I also had glimpse of Burst Generator on Youtube videos and it is the song I am the most looking forward to listen to.

I've listened to some 30sec samples of most of the songs, a nice taster of each track, but haven't gone near the site since friday or so. I think I'm gonna stick with it now, i've just got a copy this weekend of singles 93-03 with the bonus disc(at long last!). so hopefully that along with justice and some other new stuff should keep me busy for the next month.

As said my other post other than the edit of Do it again (oh yeah, and the intro bit on this site) I haven't heard the album yet. 2 weeks to go now is it?

I wasn't planning to buckle, but when the release date got pushed back to *after* Glastonbury I caved in.

Of course, it goes without saying I shall be purchasing the double LP and CD on July 2nd, as most of you are I expect.

I have pre-ordered 2 copies of the CD, 1 to go in the collection with their other albums, the other one to listen to until it wont play anymore.

I was forced to listen to the DO It Again radio edit...it was playing on XMU and i wasnt about to change it...it was 30sec into the track before i realized what it was....it couldnt have been avoided.

Do It Again and EBW8 are the only two tracks ive heard. Im just gonna wait. The less i think about it, the faster it will be here :) :)

Heard the album over the weekend at a mates house. Words to describe it - experimental, mature, soulful, intimate.

What its not though is instantly likable. There's not much of the Chems musical catchiness on display. There's also a real move away from the full on dance sound they're famous for. There's certainly nothing as euphoric as Surface to Air, though Saturate tries hard, or anything as full on as Believe. My fav track of the lot was Das Speigal.

What I'd like to know is what ever happened to that track 'Atom Dance' that they opened the December 05 gigs with? That track sounded amazing, they should have worked it up into something. I was a bit disappointed they didn't include it.

I can tell you that Atom Dance didn't become Salmon Dance. I really give T & E credit for taking a tongue and cheek run at some music making... but, I'm still getting used to that Salmon song. Weird. I tell you.
