Thank you everyone for the comments on "Clutter". It's several months ago but you Csar said this about the track:

Csar Escribi:

The song for itself is really felicitous. I'd like to remix it (At what speed is your track?).

If your offer to remix the track is still on I can fix you with a pack of invidual samples/riffs from the track. And I could try to repay the honor by having a go with a remix of your track "Papermoon's Glow" (assuming I could get a hold of invidual samples/riffs). Check your Private Messages, let's see if we can sort it out.

Hey Soundertow!

Since you've given me your files and samples a long time passed by. But yesterday i managed to do an interpretation of your track Clutter. It wasn't easy to get the right inspiration of how it could sound. But discovering some new methods in FL stuido brought this wanting inspiration back, so i'm glad finishing this one finally.

The only thing now is electromancer will close down in the beginning of october that's why i'm seeking for another host site. So can you or others recommend some good ones? I registered on mp3com.au (i know some of you release there) a while ago but haven't managed yet to get my tracks online (if somebody could tell me how to do it, i'll be pleased).

Thanks for the comments mr.reaction.

I'm VERY eager to hear what you have done Csar! I hope you are able to sort out the hosting business soon. I don't know anything about mp3.com.au but if it doesn't work out for you you could always try to get some homepage hosting and just upload the music files to the server if it is allowed. You could try to see if your university offers some homepage space for you and if their policy allows you to store music files. 8)

And hey, I have a sort of a concept piece of a draft of a work-in-progress version of the remix of your track. I already know what I'm going to do with it but it will take me some time to get to the inevitable conclusion, that is, the release of the track mwahahahahaa.

I'm in a band with a mate of mine.. We're extremely Chemical Brothers inspired. It's like breaks/house with a Chem Bros psychedelic edge. We've got some tracks on our myspace here:

Hi chemicalreaction!

I guess you're also on mp3.com.au, right? Do you know what i've exactly got to do to come from "Hold" status to a "live" status or what ever it is called? If i'm looking into my artist or user details i'm registered as an artist but still on hold position. It's kinda weird. Would be bodacious if you could help me!

Thanks in advance

About Chemicalreaction & Csar comments : I think the first part is a bit long too, I'll try to re work on it but for the moment I cant... And as for the beats, they come from the original song and are used a lot by Justics. I love em

As for my artist name i wasn't very creative, just the same as here.

Cool to hear we can expect some new hot stuff of you. I assume you'll post them here ;-)

Btw, what's your artist name there?

that's great! mp3.com.au has released my tracks overnight right after i asked them why it took so long. Now there are the same old ones plus the remix of Soundertows Clutter. Many many thanks to Soundertow who provided me all the samples i needed! They are "to die for" as reaction once said. I hope my interpretation respects the origin and you're ok with that. It's become a little breakbeat number.

P.S i also reworked Dirty Little FunkE! slighly with some vocals about two thirds of the song (nothig special, just wanted to mention).

(!) (!) (!) (!) (!)

I just downloaded the mp3 version and it seems to clip quite a lot, but .... you sure made my day this time! :D

No time for talkin' now, it's all about listening to the remix!!! Thank you so much for this!

The song did clip as soundertow mentioned, csar. A bit loud at some points but the rest sounds amazing especially after 3:20 8) and the ending is driving me nuts...in a totally cool way.

hi mates and a big thank you!

@ I'm glad to know you're liking it and it was worth the hours of work! Btw what did you mean with "clip" a lot? Too much cut off the original?

@ Reaction, please could you point out the cuts where it's too loud or this way. Maybe i can reduce it.

http://en.wikipedia....ing_%28audio%29 (look at the first picture, it should be a sine wave but because of "clipping" it's not)

And from the track:

And that happens throughout the track. So in a nutshell your track is too loud, it tries to go over the maximum value that can be represented in the data.

The solution:

You are using fruityloops right? You should have a master track volume meter somewhere in the interface and there might be a red light (called 'over' or something) flashing when the clipping occurs. You don't probably need to edit your actual song but instead just slide the master track volume down until the red light flashing stops. You shouldn't have the master track red light flash at all!

If this makes the track too quiet you might need a master track limiter plug-in. You can use this if VST plug-ins work in your program, just use it on the master track with a threshold of zero:

yeah the first tracks i made clipped a lot until someone on the boards here, think it was ElectronicBattleWarrior (where art thou ?) or whirly girl told me about it. Its quite easy to control it if you are using fruityloops....

btw, here are some old tunes from me which i think clip but they sound good....

We are a new electronica band trying to get some listens to our music. As huge fans of the Chem Bros we are curious to see what everyone here thinks of our music. It streams on our website http://www.dopeengineers.com

Based on the assumption that someone can listen to Paul, Aphex, & the Chems and still write songs with singing in them, I'd dig your thoughts on this.

A False Figment (or, The Mislaid Husband).

I'll be honest; the drums were done in Fruity-Loops. The rest is a huge Danelectro pedal set. I do have an acoustic version as well.

For a while now I've been working on some stuff for possible live performances, it's good fun! For reasons that escape me I felt like sharing an absolutey basic type of loop. X-D Enjoy...
