Always nice to know that someone has listened to a tune posted on this thread. New Order are back (minus Peter Hook but with the return of Gillian) and touring the USA right now. Catch 'em if you can. http://newordernow.net/

I dig the kraftwerk-like synths but most of the tracks are a bit too cheesy. It sounds a bit 80's. maybe it is my personal taste for slightly darker pop music (depeche mode) but this album could use some nasty, dirty synths and bleeps boiling in the background.
Interesting side note: Karl Bantos participates on one track! that alone is a reason to listen to the album!

This has got me jogging my memory banks. I first caught Digitalism in a marquee at 'Get Loaded In The Park' on London's Clapham Common back in 2007. I think they also played Lovebox the same summer. My mate got an exclusive invite through Myspace (!) to see Digitalism play inside a parked double decker bus at Lovebox, but he forgot to tell me to go to myspace, so I didn't get in to that one. Grr. Me and the same friend then saw them in November '07 at The Scala in Kings Cross. Several of us were standing at the main bar in the Scala before the gig, when I suddenly realised that the guy to my left looked very familiar. I motioned to my friend and said, "isn't that Isi from the band standing next to us?" He took out his phone, showed his pictures from the double decker bus, and indeed Isi said: "yes I remember that". No one else seemed to realise that a band member was standing amongst us.
Saw them again doing a DJ set at Hearne Street Car Park, on Halloween 2010. There were technical troubles but once resolved we got a great dj set, with lots of interaction with the crowd. And finally I saw them play live in support of their second (slightly disappointing) album at XOYO in June 2011. I do hope their third album gets them back up to the giddy heights of the first one.

Nice story!
What's funny about Digitalism is that it's been one of my favourite bands for years, yet I have no idea how I first heard from them. Most likely I just heard a song on the radio and then bought the CD. I really like the second album, too. And if the songs they wrote for their DJ Kicks last year are an indication of the direction in which their future work will go, I think we really can look forward to it. Plus there's this video they postet via facebook/twitter some time ago:

I doubt I'd be able to (as usual) but thanks for pointing that out. I admit of the New Order music that I have listened to (still not well initiated) my favorites come from the earlier Movement days. Maybe it's time for a taste of Joy Division?
Right now listening to BT's most recent single... I need to be studying for my last final, but I'm just in awe. This is EDM with class:

I have no clue about the Abe Duque mix and EMI copyright blocking, though.
