i only ask this cos i see the charlies have been dropped by their lable this week. they have fulfilled there obligation to record 3 albums under there last contract. and now are free agents. but whats the point of releasing more singles if they have been dropped by universal??
hopefully they will release 'feel the pressure' to coincide with their UK tour in december. hopefully tom and ed will do there bit with the remixes. hey didn't they play a dub/extended version of FTP at this years WMC!!?? and what a great way to see us into chemical 5!!!
fingers crossed i'm gonna see the charlies at brixton in december. and since when has brixton academy been the brixton 'carling' acadamy??? how dare that pissy larger get its name in the middle of that great venue

They should move the academy, lock stock and barrel out of Brixton and put it somewhere else!
I vote Kent, any other ideas?
why kent?? kent is boring apart from maidstone which has a buzzing house scene. if i could move the academy anywhere i would move it to richmond. cos it wouldn't look outta place there and a piece of piss for me to get to

Tim, I was listening to 6music on Monday night and a dj on there said you have a new single coming out shortly with the Chemical Brothers but I cannot find any info on this anywhere? Could you please shed any light on this?

Tim played me the final (/near-to final) mix of the new Chemicals song he's singing on a few weeks ago. Fucking amazing tune. Love it. There's a bit that repeats the lyrics 'I'm a hustler'.. sounds ace.

have you seen Ian Browns jacket in his new video with Noel Galagher? I want that jacket!
no. i hear gallagher has been hanging round a lot with ian brown recently. not something i'm too keen on, cant stand those gallagher brothers.
while i'm on the subject of ian brown, there is a great series on bbc 3 at the moment. its called 'blood on the turntables' and is a documentary on the music industry and how money and power can destuct art. this weeks episode was on the stone roses. it was a totally facinating hour long show. how that band got anywhere with their manager i dont know, the geezer was a twat. keep your eyes open for a repeat of this program, it was class

Do you have the Stone Roses DVD? I was thinking about picking it up (doesn't help to be flat broke!) because I've heard good things about it, so I was wondering what you thought in case you got ahold of this.

One of my fav festivals from the summer was Benicassim... I though we played a great show & I really enjoyed seeing all my mates from other bands - Primals especially... Duffy a legend, Mani gentleman in white, Innes looking a bit like Hanibal Lector, but in a good way... Bobby - always tearing up the ignorance!
The weather was hot, but amazing... the Mediterranean was like bath water, the back stage - free drinks & The Chemicals rocked - best I've seen em' & I really enjoyed singing 'Life is Sweet' - I think it was the best I sang all summer...
Really cool!
