Anyone noticed that on the promo of Surrender (released thru Astralwerks) the tracks 'Under The Influence' and 'Surrender' are named 'Influenced' and 'Racing The Tide'? Anyone got an idea why?

Probably a spelling mistake. I have a few US promos with spelling mistakes, such as 'Electrobank' .

Yeah, but 'Surrender' is called 'Racing The Tide'? That would be a big spelling mistake. ;-)

Hmmm. I've heard these titles too, but never gave them a lot of thought to be honest - I always just thought they were working titles or something. Kind of like that title Bass Test that was floating around. I really don't know but I'm thinking maybe you got ahold of an advance copy, Slipvin. Sometimes advance copies have different titles than promos and the actual release as I'm sure you know.

Still though, a cool thing to have! 8)

What does the sleeve and disc look like, and do they say anthing other than the disc is a promotional copy?

This sounds like a job for the forum's Chemical sleuths! Please show yourselves!

I would have loved to see a track called Push The Button, with that cool voice sample. All the other albums have a title track, which would have been nice to keep it going.

Thanks for the info!

Still beats the crap out of me, though. I don't know what's up with those titles, it is weird like the title of this thread says. Maybe you just got some sort of uber-promo! ;)
