if you view it from the canada side it is suppose to be better .

Yeah, it's a lot better on the Canadian side, because most of what looks dramatic and nice is actually American property, best viewed from across the way. :D

wrongo

the best way to view niagra falls is from a wooden barell which your ride down the waterfall.......everybody knows that

Yeah, but you'd better try that from the Canadian side, because American authorities will shoot you if you try that from the American side. ;-)

Actually, the coolest way to see things is on a boat called the Maid of the Mist, which sails in the water beneath the falls. Obviously you don't get so close as to be in danger, but depending on the wind, you get completely immersed in the mist and fog from the falling waters. Pretty cool, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it in this weather, if it even operates in winter.

I sailed on it a few years back and deffo recommend it.

It's not more than a day's drive from Chi-town, Bosco. The rest of Niagara Falls is kinda touristy and cheesy from what I saw, but the Falls themselves are pretty cool. Could maybe catch a Bills game or something in the evening to make a full day of it.

yeah.....my 90 year old grandpa, my dad, and I have talked about taking a trip to cooperstown New York where the "baseball hall of fame" is and thought it would be cool to first go up to niagara falls then drive out east to cooperstown.....we probably would make a weekend trip.

however, a bills game sounds fun.....hopefully the bears will play them next season and ill have an excuse to go out there ;-)

Cooperstown would definetly be cool. I loved the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto when I went there.

That's awesome, Jeanie. I've always wanted to go to Washington, despite the ridiculous crime rates, oppressive humidity and malarial swamp-like conditions. All the museums and educational opportunities more than make up for it!

haha, I need to go away somewhere for a weekend. Maybe Twin Cities next month sometime.

Okay, your advice on supporting the Yankees will help Jeanie survive in the Big Apple, but now you're trying to get her deported? Or sent to Guantanamo? Us non-Americans have to watch our mouths between the 49th parallel and the Rio Grande!!! X-D

bwah. Awesome.

A few years back, our last prime minister Jean Chretien got pied in the face at a public event. Too bad the Secret Service is a little quicker on the trigger than the Canadian equivalent. Heads rolled for that one. X-D

Dude, if you're going to Dallas, and you wanna party, go to a place called the Deep Ellum.... any cabbie or local can direct you there, it's a neighborhood that's all bars, clubs and head shops.

Today is boring. I decided to go out and see a movie , and half way to the theatre i was already soaked from the rain so i had to go back !!! I know i know , i am in NYC , but doing stuff is hard sometimes when you're on you're own !! It's hard to get yourself round to doing it you know.

But i did learn myself how to "say" the alphatbet in sign language in just 5 minutes , so i did something productive! Yay!

I know how you feel - I had to go Barcelona by myself for my uni project...

I reckon the best thing to do if you are by yourself is to try and go to some gigs! Go into a music shop and pick up some flyers and see whats on... You could meet some cool people, listen to some great music and its better than just staying in by yourself or going to a bar by yourself... I saw Royksopp in Barcelona and they were ACE! Met some american students studying in Barca uni too ...

Yeah i'm trying to find what's playing and stuff , i'd love to see some good gigs! And i don't mind gigging by myself , cause it's the music i come for.

Yesterday i meet up with an old friend/roommate , we sat in the Tex Mex for 5 hours and we had so much fun , but she's leaving NY on wednesday....:(

But i'll be fine i guess.

Tonight i'm flying to Dallas for work , that's cool, but i have the worst flu ever :( And i didnt get to see Washington cause my old roommate was only in town for some days !

Ah wel , next weekend maybe!
