Well... Not really, if they did anything like him they would've made sound effects of imperial walkers over spankrock's vocals or even better yet replaced everything with crappy dated digital synths (CZ's!!!), but nonetheless, for those who haven't listened to the first disc of Brotherhood (damn EBWs distracting us in neardy bliss) should go turn your stereo up to 11 and listen to Keep My Composure because they tinkered with it quite a but. Wish I had a photo of the expression on my face when I was listening to it on the road and the familiar part of the song suddenly steered off in to that crazy distorted synth part. Drums are better too, really good stuff somewhat reminiscent of the transition between galvanize and burst generator during their live tour. Also, vocals are a little more reserve, which kinda makes a good balance between instrument and vocals ala Do it Again. I definitely am a huge fan of this new version and think I like the song 20 times more, not to say I disliked it before, but more that this version seems to exhaust it's potential for awesomeness. I'm guessing I wont be the only one...
Anyway, what would a forum topic be with out massive speculation? I know this was mentioned in the Brotherhood thread, but figured I'd open a topic to draw attention and to speculate. So yeah, why did they change it? Think Tom & Ed weren't happy with the original? Or maybe they weren't finished but needed to hit a deadline for show/soundtrack Heros? Bowie was luck enough to have fulfilled that deadline decades ago with his contribution to that soundtrack.
