On another note:
Another movie soundtrack to (possibly) look forward to.
Quote
Underworld are once again collaborating with Danny Boyle, teaming up with the director for his stage adaptation of Frankenstein. The National Theatre production will feature a "soundscore" by dance duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, who are bringing the monster to life with crackling electronics and pounding bass.

What's up with the cracks at people with disabilities? My son has a disability and his best mate has Down Syndrome. He is such a nice guy with a huge sense of humor and brings a lot of joy into people's lives. Really, what's up with that!?
Ahhh, you gotta be licking my nipples with a tongue of an elephant. I already explained you.
It's not shameful to have a disability, it's shameful to pretend you have one in order to gain attention. Like those Hipsters do. That was my point.
Plus, i have a disability myself, sometimes i can't get an erection.
You're never too retarded to RAVE!!!

So wait, now i am even more intreged.
Hipster...pretend...to have a dissability?! I mean, nobody would do that. Or is this just a joke you made?
And while we are on the disability subject..there is nobody in my family who DOESN'T have a disability, haha.
It goes from missing half a leg (my dad) to serious mental disabilities (my uncle) and ADD mixed with braindamage(my brother, it's sounds horrible but he looks and acts normal if you don't know him wel. I know better, offcourse).
I understand it very well when people who have mental disability in their daily life don't like it when there are jokes made about it. However; in my family, we joke about everything. It doesn't mean we are making fun of my uncle with the mental disability , because i love him more than anyone can ever understand, but we believe that sometimes you need to make jokes and see the bright side of things in order to lighten up very serious issues. Offcourse i don't mean that we are saying bad things, and we are fully aware of the situation.
For example, with my dad who's missing the lower half of his left leg and who has a fake leg, we joke sometimes about it (when somebody is annoying we say 'Dad, take of your leg and hit him!!!'' And my dad laughs the loudest).
I hope i'm making any sense and i am not critizing the way Krisper is handeling the situation. I'm just explaining my point of view. As i said, i understand that people can't take jokes about Down Syndrom. I can't take jokes on cancer since my mum battled it for 4 times. But sometimes, a joke is nescesary to lighten up the situation.
I hope i'm making any sence Krisper!

OK, you obviously didn't mean your original post the way I took it. Normally I would never say anything about things like that, but to me it did sound like a direct stab at Down Syndrome people and I just had to say something. Having a disabled child, and seeing the discrimination and bullying they face in their day to day life, I kinda get a bit touchy.
But I am also not above apologising so I am sorry for misreading your intentions and bringing some serious shit into a General Bullshit Chat.
@Jeanie, you make perfect sense. Friends always take the piss out of each other, I think that is pretty well a global thing, but if you aren't in the group, the joke doesn't usually work and can cause offense.
