The right kind of cough syrup contains dextromorphan (or DXM, for short). DXM is a dissociative anaesthetic, related to Ketamine and PCP. As Darkstar will confirm, it's hallucinogenic, hence why it's fun

I had a 250 mL bottle that I drank 190 mL out of. I don't get enough kick out of DXM on its own though, so I added a bit of spliffage. It was fairly wonderful. At one point my body felt light like it was on helium, like it would float away and be dragged off by its escaping soul. Pretty cool. Not something I would necessarily recommend to others (and something I try not to even mention to others, due to the stigmas surrounding it), but it is a potent intoxicant. Just, as always, make sure to do the research before using it is my suggestion. I'll post my log of yesterday later if I remember.



And I really didn't have a problem getting all that syrup down the hatch. It tastes bad, but not THAT bad.

I love cough syrup! X-D I always have the most bizarre dreams after I have some., but then again the only time I really RoboDose is when I'm not feeling well to begin with. No way could I drink as much as Darkstar did because that would really upset my tummy. DXM can be bad, really bad, in large quantities. I remember there were rashes of bad ecstasy going around a few years ago and it was putting people in the hospital - come to find out it wasn't mdma but dxm. The amount of dxm in some of the pills was the same as something like 2 bottles of cough syrup... or so the old blue light/pill reports/dance safe bulletins said. The problem with that is - when people would take these rogue pills, the come up wasn't as strong since they were expecting ecstasy rush, and the dxm rush can feel similar but a lot weightier (if that makes any sense) - so they'd think they got a weak hit and proceed to take more pills. Eventually the body reaches a point on dxm where it overheats and if you've gone past the point where your body can't purge, you stop sweating. Of course the news on tv would report all these kids getting hospitalized from ecstasy but more often or not it was bunk pills, mainly dxm that was doing it.



A lot of the grocery stores here are starting to keep the cough syrup behind lock and key since that's what the kids are into these days. But you can walk right into a drug store and get it right off the shelf. When we were in Arizona last, stash and I walked over to a couple of bars in this town we were staying in and we saw a couple of empty bottles of Robo tossed off to the side of the parking lots.

I've had a few times with dxm n codeine based cough syrups, it's nice - very dissociative, but this was long back, the downside of downin a bottle is it actually fucks my throat up very bad for ages. yeah yeah.



The weekend is just starting - 3 days, so it's long, n so's this spliff here i'm just lightin up.



p.s. i did ketamine just once (snorted) and it was the worst experience of my life - i don't think it was a bad trip but we snorted it thinkin it was coke, and then the bitch who passed it disappeared, n the two of us were lost in the middle of a heavy traffic downtown part of town - i used to bike it those days n had no fuckin clue how'd i ride back - the WORST part was the fuckin chemical factories explodin inside my stomach n fillin up to my throat - it was yuck - all we could think of was if we'd be home with some music. i've heard it's extremely effective if injected straight, cuts out the bad chemicals exploding inside n fillin up to u'r throat feelin, but i think i've had my encounter n i'll pass the next time - i'm happy with psychedelics, just good weed for now.

Makes perfect sense, and is a good way of describing it. At the lower plateaus, or while coming "up" (although that's a fairly relative description), it feels like being stoned except "heavier". Like there's pressure being put on your eyes and orbitals and you feel energetic but sluggish at the same time.



Add a little bit of the reef as a pick-me-up and I find the two work together very well. Not something I'd want to do all the time, both for personal and health reasons, but it's enjoyable on the very odd time.



I had a pretty stellar afternoon on it yesterday. A "different" kind of hallucinating than I'm used to, but worthwhile and enjoyable nonetheless.



Tonight I was a sober driver for others, so only a couple drinks, but I won 3 pitchers of beer for myself on the pool table, to be consumed next Friday. Now I need to trade shifts at work....



Tomorrow is the (belated) work Christmas party. Time to have a few bevvies, I figure.

What that woman did when she gave you ketamine instead of coke - that's bad, bad... How fucking EVIL. Oh, god how that pisses me right the hell off!!



I've done k a small handful of times and had the most incredible experiences. 2 of those times I've slipped into the hole and the other times I've teetered on the edge of that hole. It's very weird (which is a gross understatement) I never felt sick but my body and mind completely surrendered to riding the carrier wave into my own subconsciousness... I can't bring myself to explain what happened in my journies without sounding like a complete lunatic - other than the trips were the most surreal things that far surpassed any expectations I had of the drug and my own mind. And I can totally see, if you aren't expecting it, I can see how the experience can be utterly terrifying to the point of temporary mental paralysis. For me I felt my mind and body had to be prepared, free and clear of baggage - I spent a lot of time on erowid and talking to people at raves and stuff before I tried it. Knowing what I was getting into and having a grasp of what to expect, I would have never ever considered taking it in a buzzy social situation, let alone wandering in a congested part of town. Good lord.



That being said, I have no desire to do it ever again. Damn. I'm really sorry JacksRevenge. Your experience sounds like a living nightmare.
