Then... ''Three Grammys'' 8)
Even better.. and here, is it cool to win two at one time or is that like a thing that people have done before?
I personally think it's sweet beaten oldie and influences like Kraftwerk and New Order
Yeah, lots of artists have won multiple Grammies. This past Grammies might as well have been called the U2 awards! X-D
I wonder if there's been other electronic artists to take home more than one Grammy in a night? hmmm...
I was quite surprised that the Chems beat out Kraftwerk and New Order. I was just talking about this with a friend last night. I wasn't surprised in a }:-@ kind of way, I'm just thinking 8O in like a "tough competition" sort of way! Overall, it's 8) .

Although the album sucks donkeynuts, it's always good to get some recognition.
Hardly like, it just won a grammy. X-D
That's because the mass likes it.
You want to tell me it's a mass product, won't you??? And i tell ya, it isn't at all!!! Pick up one track for me of which you think it's a mainstream song (in comparison to the shit which is being played in the charts). You'll see there's nothing you'll find (!)
Chemically from the first note to the last bleep!
E(argasm) = m(usic) x c(hemicals)²

If your a fan then really, you shouldnt care if its mainstream, you should just be stoked that your favorite group just got the recogisation they deserve.
And not alot of people, from my experience, know who The Chemical Brothers are, they just know their hits... Which, i think, shows their qaulity cause theyre the kind of group that make tunes stick in your head like bed time stories.. Its Class :D X-D

Well said Foxy. I dont care if they are mainstream or not or whatever. I dont think they are , cause most of the people i meet know them but that's all - they know HBHG or Galvanize and that's it. Maybe PTB is there most mainstream album. I dont know. I dont care - i love it ! And it's great they get what they deserve!

Same for me, whenever i meet someone new and they ask me who i like musically, they're all always puzzled to who they actually are, i have to sing the verse of each song before they cling on to who im actually talking about.

To me, anything that makes people sit up and take notice has got to be good.
Proud chems fans here 8).

They've already achieved that long before they won those grammy's. Grammy's are things to keep mass public happy. They wouldn't have known about the Chemical Brothers if it wasn't for their huge hit single Galvanize.

I don't agree with Slipvin that the Chems' music past Dig Your Own Hole is crap (or as he so eloquently put it, sucks donkeynuts), but I don't think it's really fair to insinuate he isn't a fan. He's here and he's stuck around so I think that says something about how their music has affected him - even if it was once upon a time.
I'm a fan of a lot of bands but prefer their older stuff. Seen a lot of bands I like blow up massive over the years.
Galvanize and Push The Button - came out at the right time and the right place and it clicked big with an audience this time. Either way, I'll still have the music, no matter how big a band gets. Doesn't matter if I'm the only one that's heard it, the only one that likes it, or if everyone on the planet has the same opinion as me. If that makes me part of the musically and socially problematic mainstream, then that's a problem I don't want to deal with as long as I'm enjoying the music.
So the masses dig the Chems right now, big deal, good for them and good for the band - I think they deserve it. The thing with the masses is, collective thought is always very fickle. The next big thing comes along and life goes on. And all we're left is the music in the end.
Shouldn't that be the only thing that matters?
