You see, with the current lol myspace crowd, emo music, screamo, what have you (don't know much about the rock subgenre music scene), there is quite possibly no real way for the chem bros to get more friends on myspace. If they label their music EMOtronic, emos and scene people will see "Chemical Brothers" and think "WAIT LIKE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE???" and then they will see "EMOtr-" and stop and say "WAIT EMO YES THEY ARE" and add them as a friend.

Nobody knows what emotronic really is. As far as I'm concerned, it's a shitty sub genre that was made up by bored individuals who like to put things in neat little boxes because... because... well, because they have nothing better to do.

Look at it this way. We have the upper hand. We can now say "back in the day before the Chems were 'emotronic'..." Really, that's the only positive thing that can come of having our favorite band pinned into some ridiculous sub genre.

Might we suggest to Astralwerks to take a look at the Private Reels section of the DVD they helped launch back in 2003. In case they forgot. It's right there, Tom tells the shop owner the Chems don't like to be pigeonholed...
