Something much dirtier than you might suspect.....

Man, Peter Hook did a dj set right near my friggen house last Saturday and we crapped out and took my friend to Spundae up in Los Angeles instead.



What a crap night Spundae was. It was so bad I didn't want to come here and talk about it and bring down the board. It's unfortunate because that club is so cool but the tunes were weak ass trance (DJ Micro) and some hideously cheesy house music being played in what's normally the cool breaks room. Plus the crowd. Oh my it was not my type of crowd at all - all these beautiful people posing and nobody was being themselves! Some guy kept following me trying to strike up conversation and it was making me uneasy because he was with his friends and they all had the look that people get when they're on the prowl looking to hook up. And this other guy followed me and my friend into the bathroom and when we blew him off he yelled after my friend saying, "I'm gonna be watching you! You're gonna see me again!" Funny, because it's highly unlikely considering she was visiting from Massachusettes...



Peter Hook was where we should've been. Makes me soooooooo sad.

It was really really good to have my friend Nicole out here visiting!



She came in on a Thursday and I drove to Los Angeles to pick her up. We wore our Chems shirts for quick and efficient identification (we be cheesy!)



It was a bit weird at first, but it was weird in a good way! I've been talking to her on the phone for so long and it was strange but cool to finally put a real human face to the voice. One of the first things we talked about was how she thought my voice sounded a lot different face-to-face than it does on the phone.



We pretty much spent the weekend bumming around, she even got to witness some family drama with my sis-in-law and her husband, sheer excitement. Took her up to Los Angeles then spent all of Sunday burning out at the tidepools and around Laguna Beach. She got le grand tour of the Guitar Shoppe which is right downstairs from my mother-in-law's and stash's step dad's pad which I'm glad of because she's into musical instruments and they've got some nice pieces there.



A very chill weekend, she took some good pictures of me and the fam. I was so fucking sad when she left. She had been wanting to come out to California for ages and ages and her time here was so short and the weather here has been so unlike your typical California sun and warmth. But it was all good. She got a few snaps but there's hardly any pics I have of her and me :( . Anyway - here's some pics, I hope she doesn't kick my ass for posting her mug on the internet! X-D
