Wow, me too, first time rolling at a Chems show. My misses and I spent the whole night after that debating whether it was the drugs or the music that made it so good. A night I'll never forget.
I know they would be fantastic sober, but the chance to see them doesn't come often enough to try it so I can't compare. I know I don't need to be high to dance to their music!

I don't need to, I choose to. There is a difference. And what I take doesn't tell my brain I'm having a good time. It gives me some needed energy and enhances the whole experience. I didn't try E till I was 49, if I enjoy it and choose to take it each time I see a show, then that's my choice. I spent most of my life working and raising children, now I let my hair down every now and then, and it is fun!

Again as with drugs, I'm pro choice with regards alcohol.I drink myself, beer, wine, etc and appreciate the positives there in.

I agree with Champi but totally do understand Krisper also.
As to me, I don't do drugs. Music's enough drugs for me plus we have the visuals and lightshow.
I listen to music up to 14 hours a day which is loads considering I work in academic business and teach at university. Guess I get my energy out of it and it keeps me going. I totally understand when academics start alcohol, eventually leading them to alcoholism. However, music is totally sufficient for me. And when I am absolutely high at Chems gigs or when seeing other gigs, then it is due to the music plus lights/visuals if there are any.

I've also seen them DJ a few times and on 2 occassions i had taken xtc. It deffo added something special to the night; but i can safely say that a chemical brothers concert is a rush of it's own.
As for Krisper; nothing wrong with letting go every once in a while man. Amen to that. I know somebody who tried XTC for the first time in his late 50's! He took a bath whilst rushing. Hahahaha.
