Demented = evil sounding in a good way.
One really great example of this is the "After After Sunglasses" part of Don't Think. That is demented for sure :)

I remember reading somewhere that it was in the range of 200(!).
Is that the one where they took a bunch of different drum loops and edited them into one? Because I can hear a lot of variety in the main drum line.
