Odd event today. Driving home from work, listening to Hawtin's recent Mixmag covermount at excessive volumes, when suddenly from the passenger side of the car I hear a violent explosion and a flash of liquid. I'm worried I've somehow blown my power steering reservoir or brake fluid, or something serious.....
Turns out I'd left a can of 7-Up in my glovebox and the combination of the heat and humidity (+35 Celsius) with the bass coming from Hawtin's disc and my system (track = Troy Pierce '25 Bitches' (Gaiser's Too Many Bitches Makeover) caused the can to spontaneously explode, shearing the top of the can off and spraying my car with soda.
A good excuse to clean the glovebox out, where I found old exams, old car registration papers, receipts, serviettes, etc.....

Was it regular 7-up, or diet? If it was regular 7-up Blech - soda spills in the car = yuck. All that dust and hair and everything else gets stuck in the sticky spots. X-D
I used to have a car with a t-roof and the roof was always off in my trunk. Because I burn easily I used to be prepared by having sunblock in my glovebox for those sunny occasions, which was a given considering I rarely ever had the roof on my car if I had my way. One day I went to grab some food and I was digging around for spare change. I decided to check the glovebox and got a handful of nasty white goop all over my hand. Because of the heat, the side of the bottle split and the lid popped off and everything was covered - my registration, all my car maintenance receipts, random phone numbers and directions and what have you - covered in sunblock. Needless to say I was at the drive thru, and thankfully they had some spare napkins so I could wipe my hand. The kid working the window had a good laugh at me!

my uncle left a glass bottle of apple juice in the sun one day and it exploded, leaving shards of glass embedded in every surface of his kitchen! Just as well no one was in the room at the time huh X-D

Lethal liquid explosives!! That would be scary if a glass bottle unexpectedly exploded for no apparent reason - your uncle's lucky he wasn't in the room, he'd still be picking he glass out of his skin!
sounds like chemical brothers song... 8)

That video makes me laugh. After the first couple of things blow up, when the frame cuts to a new object/scenario, you know what's coming - shit's gonna blow up. Who knew slow motion explosions could be so amusing!
