Agreed. HAA wasn't much to me. I kind of also liked Steam Machine, but really these songs needed something else -- they were minimal in a really grating sort of way. Probably why HAA tracks worked nicely in their live sets since they heavily mixed them with earlier tracks.
I'm really enjoying that DeRezzed snippet. Anyone hear any remixes of it yet? Found one on the Hypemachine that I actually like.
You and I think very similarly on music, man. I had the exact same thoughts about why that album worked well live. Gotta love how they're all very nicely layered in with each other and function in terms of movements in their live sets. ::shivers:: Man, that was such a great f*cking show. Damn.

Agree with the perfection of Discovery. It has a lot of great songs and a it´s a colourful record. And it´s also a shameless record, they did what they wanted and therefore it was so much fun.
I´ve recently discovered (no pun intended) that the father of Thomas Bangalter was a prominent disco music producer in the 70´s. That made me understand more things.
ORLY? That makes sense. Interesting.
