iguanapunk's posts always seem to have some drink relevance to it. i find that quite upsetting. i like a good drink as much as anyone on here. but i know i have to respect the drink to let the drink respect me. it's all to easy to abuse yourself. i regulaly smoke (although i have given up for new years so far), drink and sniff coke. all in moderation. maybe i should not be so open, but its what i do. and where i come from it the norm.
and in the past i have smoked weed daily, neck pills every weekend and generally live my life to excess. i have seen the odd person take things too far, some learn, some ruin there life. but with most people abuse of any kind is a tempory thing.
the thing about drink is it is the worst drug on the market (except for crack and heroin) i know people at my age who have a drink problem. i know people my age who have lost parents cos they have had a drink problem.
look your probably thinking fuck off sneakerbeater. but my advice to anyone is don't let a problem ever become a problem. i'm far to honest for my own good sometimes, i don't want to see people in pain
sneakerbeater, I understand and can relate to every single bit of what you posted.
I've seen habitual use and excess ruin lives, or nearly ruin lives. Drink being the most common because it's easy to obtain and a cheap high but my main concern is that those factors make it likely to affect the safety of any person in the drinker's path. The worst I've seen (besides heroin) in the ruining lives department is meth. Habitual use of meth, not casual, rare occasion party-time use. It's a downward spiral and what I've seen is a bit too personal to post here.
iguanapunk, wretching every time you take drink is a sign of your body fighting back.
Listen to your body.
