Despite my pledge of abstinence, I finally broke down and listened to Swoon. It is a really nice track and I am excited to hear the full version.

I have a few questions, but I'll admit I've only skimmed through this topic so forgive me if they've already been answered.

Is this getting any radio or media play in any of your countries / markets? It seems like there has been a pretty good marketing push for Further and Swoon, but I'm curious if Swoon is gathering momentum and bringing in some new fans.

What is the official status is the single at this point? I understand the edit is available for download. Has there been any word on a physical single? Where is the Don Diablo remix going to be available?

Not sure about where Swoon stands in the charts or how much radio and media coverage it's getting - but as far as it's single status it is download only. To date we haven't heard anything about whether a physical single will be available at some point.

This isn't meant to be snarky in any way but... Does anybody sit down and watch MTV or other music channels for videos anymore?

Once upon a time so much was driven by the music video industry and how much airtime you had on MTV. It seems nowadays the music video industry has gone viral for the most part.

in australia, swoon is getting alot of air time. It's consistently played on the national radio station triple j. What intrigues me is that my friend told me he heard swoon on raw fm (aussie dance station), however he said it had a long intro and it wasnt the don diablo remix. It made me wonder if there were more remixes out or if they had somehow got the full version.

as for swoon bringing in new fans...for the last like year people at work have heard me preaching the chemical brothers and just the other day 2 of the girls i work with said they heard swoon and have pretty much fallen in love with the song. wooohoo!

I don't have MTV anymore, I'd have to pay to see it, but I still have half a dozen other music channels. They play a lot of videos. Not good ones though. And I never saw Swoon. I used to see Do it Again and Galvanize from time to time when they were released

Video's seem to be about people being able to pick and chose what video's they watch these days, with the wonders of Youtube and other media sources, watching chart run-downs etc. is not an option as your less likely to see any credible musician's in the top 40 anyway...Swoon is a great track and I'm sure will be used as the backing to many a tv advert etc this summer, but there are new ways to push the music these days.

Not sure what air play The new Chems material has been getting, apart from Zane Low and Peter Tong's shows of course, not had much time to listen to Radio 1, I know Jo Wiliey always got behind the Chems work, but has she aired Swoon during the day?

Haven't listened much to R1 either, but looks like it's on the B playlist and "Vernon Kay's record of the week", so it should be getting played now and again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist/

I think swoon is something for the MTV freaks.
It s a little bit commercial. Not the Power
that the Ch B produce.

I dont like it so much. The other Track of the
album will burn our ears away - i think/know.

Meant to post this yesterday - Swoon played on Radio 1 yesterday by DJs Andy George and Jamo around 9:45am. Just a shame they cut it short to play a Chris Moyles podcast trailer and a rather poor song by Ayaz.

What would you call Hey Boy Hey Girl, Star Guitar, Galvanise etc etc? They're no less commercial but they're also fantastic and powerful tracks. Swoon easily takes its place along side them I think.

Especially not Tiesto...

Nothing wrong with galvanize, i just heard it way to often to still like it.
the album version is way better than the single edit, it has a more tense feel (cant describe it properly but you know what i mean)
