I know it will showcase the EBW series, but I can't see the point in this album. Firstly, Tom and Ed have sold 9 million albums. Secondly, the albums are the best way to experience the Chemicals, not 14 singles. Thirdly, why not include every single? What happened to The Boxer and The Test? Why is Saturate there? It was never a single. Lastly, it's only been 5 years since the last singles album.

It all seems like a good excuse for Tom and Ed and their record company to turn a good number of bucks.

And as for Midnight Madness, this is by far the most average track they've produced since Come Inside.

I have quite a good amount of Apathy toward the collection of singles on Brotherhood. I'm solely looking forward to having a nice collection of the EBWs.

Come Inside, however, is an amazing track.

To be honest, I buy every Cd the Chems put out regardless of fans reviews, magazine reviews, etc. I believe that the Bros are masters of the electronic discipline and work very hard at Miloco to put out original material that's different than other acts. They deserve so much credit then they think they deserve. I got pissed off when I found out that the bros lost money when they came to the U.S. because of the huge production costs of their set, but they STILL came and performed for us, but I would definitely pay more to see them again in the States. So I'll buy 'Brotherhood' but I must say this, I have never negatively bargain or negatively question their music. And I'm not going to throw away 13 years of being a Chemhead (chemical brothers fan) just because someone said 'Oh, another gretaest hits CD'

And furthermore, opinions are OK, but compliments are BETTER!

Brotherhood? Why not? I'm a Chemhead for life!

if u don't look at it as a new album, it's a sweet release. i own the ebws on vinyl but it'd be nice to have all in one place on cd - long time due - especially for non vinyl fans to get the quality they were supposed to be heard at.

i'm just hoping they'r getting back to the studio and giving us another album soon.

and which best of does justice to any artiste's discog or all fans?

bring it on i say! i'd love to spend some hard earned bucks on some chems artwork and cd - what do we earn for?

Did we already got to see an 'official' tracklist? I don't think so. And it would be very weird if Saturate and It began in Afrika would we on disc 1 and EBW 5 and EBW 8 on disc 2.

I think "keep my composure" and ebw5 and ebw9 makes "brotherhood" worth buying. Although I hope it won't be a € 20,- something buy.

I'm back from an arduous semester at college. Hell, I missed this place!

Well, I've got around to those "Oh, another Greatest Hits album..." feeling. After all, there's a point in those records: they're directed to the more casual fans and all, and can serve well in parties. Another guys could release the compilation with just the hits, but the Chem's actually thought about us and decided to release all the EBW's in CD quality and still managed to put a new track on the bunch. Sounds pretty good to me.

I'm in agreement with the majority in this thread - and well said inchemwetrust and soundertow! I've nothing more opinion-wise to really add as most of what I want to say has already been said.

I can understand how this release could be seen as a disappointment or one of those label/band decisions that leaves people scratching their heads asking "why". Being a fan doesn't mean you have to love love LOVE everything a band does so I'm not looking to argue. Everyone has a right to an opinion.

Anyway The Brotherhood is not a Singles compilation, and the 1993 Singles release was not a Best Of. These albums are similar but they are not the same. I know it's confusing to some who glance at the big picture but look over the brush strokes but it's somewhat important to realize the difference between the two. Even if you don't like that the Chems are releasing Brotherhood, that is fine but at least know the diff. between the 2.

So anyhow, here's the track list for Brotherhood:

Chemical Brothers: Brotherhood Track List

01. Galvanize

02. Hey Boy Hey Girl

08. Leave Home

09. Keep My Composure (Featuring Spank Rock)

11. Out Of Control

12. The Golden Path – (Featuring The Flaming Lips)

13. Setting Sun – (Featuring Noel Gallagher)

This is obviously a release to get some extra cash in to purchase a strange music device created by a mad scientist in his dead mothers basement.

I'll be buying it, just for the EBW's (even though I have them all in various places on CD) but as it's been said, it's nice to have them in one place.

As others have said, I welcome this since there is the second CD with the EBWs.

I hope that the tracks will segue into another! Or at least a little bit of a different version. It would give even more reason to buy it.

Even if Tom and Ed start selling hotdogs, i'd be there at the front of the line buying the place out. Hey, i'd rather them have my $20 rather than the McDonalds down the street.

It would be pretty cool if they did segue, as prochem said. Too bad it won't be true :(

I am wondering : everywhere i read the playlist of disc 1 there is written Keep My Composure (Featuring Spank Rock), Let Forever Be & Setting Sun (Featuring Noel Gallagher) and The Golden Path (Featuring The Flaming Lips). What about Galvanize, Do It Again, Believe and Out Of Control? Are they instrumental versions, new versions or some alternative versions to those already released? Why isn't there the vocalist (Q-Tip, Ali Love, Kele Okereke & Bernard Sumner) written behind?
