Skyline was complete bullshit.

on the "worst movies" list : Starship Troopers part 2 & 3

Mostly, but it had some elements I liked e.g. they died. I read a great quote from an IMDB forum on this film "it's a film made my TV actors on their lunch break".
I loved Starship Troopers, but yes, 2's performances was like watching a school play.

I am ashamed to say but I love Sandler films

After Anger Management, his comedy has been rather kind of dormant. I've tried watching!

Add this to this years list as well: The Change- Up!

See, I tend to watch Jason Bateman films because of his role in Arrested Development, but I think I have to forget about that.

Oh gawd, that trailer just made me dispair. I sighed out loud in the cinema. Looked to be a poor mans 300.

Snakes on a Plane was great! Something you watch with friends, just to laugh at how shit it is.
Did you watch that recent Kubrick documentary with the British fella going through his film boxes? The guy scrutinzed every shot, his attention to detail was a sickness.

That was quite a show, man did he have many boxes, how many trucks where loaded with them before they destroyed them? Posted Image
one of the most interesting facts about Kubrick is from making his less known movie Barry Lyndon that was shot using only natural lights and candles for night scenes, which raised a few problems, cause in 1970s there was no cameras that could shot it like our eyes can see, so after much digging he found that NASA has 2 such cameras made for night shots of our planet that was to be used in satellite for some research (using Carl Zeiss lenses custom made) that was aborted and for years cameras lay forgotten in some NASA warehouse. He actually contacted NASA and bought them for 50k $. After movie came out, NASA wanted to buy them back for much more (legend has it they was worth practically millions and some poor sod in NASA didn't know that!) but of course he refused to sell them. And if you didn't watch Barry Lyndon i leave it to your imagination how beautiful shots are made; every night frame looks almost like a Rembrandt painting, lighting was that good. All that just goes to show what kind of research he undertake for his movies, attention to detail, technologically as well as director. Gotta love a passion like that Posted Image

"The Prestige" is not a bad movie, but i felt cheated, a movie has never disapointed me that much with a plot hole and that ridiculous sci-fi twist. Just when i thought it'd become one of my favorite movies, they introduced Tesla and the movie goes ape shit.

There is no way to explain the end of the movie with no sci-fi elements without revealing a huge plot hole.
So, it's either sci-fi or a huge plot hole.
